The short of it, stay here! You will not be disappointed!! As a user of tripadvisor for many years i mean this wholeheartedly. Rooms = excellent, Cleanliness = excellent, Service = excellent, Location = excellent, Price = excellent and Breakfast = excellent.

Located 50m from the main square and 100m from the main street Las Lucarnas is a beautiful little hosteria in a quiet neighbourhood with friendly helpful staff who make your stay in town wonderful. As an example, our bus to Pucon was leaving at 6am, normal breakfast time is from 7:30am however they got up at 5am and set the table offered us coffee and breakfast so we could eat before we left. Sadly we didnt know about this and left our room at 5:45am walked into the kitchen to find this and had to rush off to the bus terminal.

But i dont want you to think that it's just the service and staff that make this place. The place itself feels homely with exposed wooden beams, clean and good sized rooms, comfortable beds, comfy sheets, cable tv, bath, wifi, dining area and lounge room. The only thing that could be said is if you want a party or hundreds of people then perhaps its not for you but if your a couple, family or a group of friends i doubt there is much better in town for this value.

Las Lucarnas represents brilliant value, service and comfort i just wish there were more places like this around South America.
