This is my first time ever writing a review, but this is also the first time a place has moved me enough to.
This place is absolutely fantastic. Most of the prior reviews talk about the beer and wine, but it NEEDS to be expressed that the food here is absolute incredible!
Myself and my friends visited and were greeted by the owner at the door, who is the type of person that makes you feel instantly at home. The service from that first moment on was spectacular. When traveling from the USA one of the things I miss most is quality service at an establishment, but at Cheers the service trumped many of my favorite restaurants back home.
The beers are great, the wines are even better. We had two of the best bottles I´ve had since I arrived in Argentina a month ago. Definitely ask for a recommendation and you won´t be sorry. Very modest prices for the quality as well. One bottle was 65 pesos and another was 85.
All the food was fantastic as well. So good in fact that we all returned the following night for an encore. They specialize in Seafood, but have a great selection of Carne, Pollo, and Pasta as well. Main course dishes range from around 40-85 pesos which unbelievable for the quality of the food. The shrimp is exquisite, although outdone by the bacon wrapped shrimp. I also had the best Ceasar salad I have had in this country. Phenominal steaks, but as with most Argentinian restaurants, they overcook it from what you request. We ordered Medium Rare and received closer to Medium/Medium Well, but this has happened repeatedly since we came to Argentina, so order one degree more rare than you would in the States.
All desserts were fantastic, with the dulce de leche Mousse taking the spotlight.
All in all I couldn´t be more pleased with my experience at this restaurant. If I return to Puerto Madryn it will be for this restaurant, not for the whales!
