“Aging Gracefully... No free meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Although this is obviously an older establishment they are keeping up with the maintenance and the Beds were fresh and comfortable but if you look into the corners we did find "dust bunnies" . The pool was crystal clear but be careful of the North East hand railing someone cut it off to short and it popped out of the mounting hole and sprang rearwards becoming unstable being handi-capped it almost became a falling issue for me ... There is no "free" buffet style breakfast at this establishment what you would normally get for free at other Holiday Inn's cost $10 here....

Room Tip: Rooms that face the pool area are much quieter since the motel is in a U shape around the pool the o...

Ernie Hernandez ( Catering Sales Manager ) & Jill Turski (Sales Manager ) assisted in making the accomodations for my family & friends who where coming from out of state to attend our wedding. We had the pleasure of meeting Ernie in the Spring of 2013. My fiance and I were visiting local hotels that were near our wedding venue that would accomodate our needs. From the moment we walked into the lobby- we were greeted with the Friendly & out going staff. Ernie gave us hotel information & took time to give us a tour of the facilities. Although our Ceremony and reception were being held at another location, Ernie & Jill still offered many services to us should we needed anything. Jill remained in contact with me throughout and was able to offer our guest wonderful rates on the rooms. She kept me up to date with the list of rooms that were booked for our guest and just made it all around easy & comforting to know that this portion of planning was in good hands. We checked in the day before the Wedding and everything was prepared and ready to go for us as if we were from the Royal family! From champagne on ice to the fresh flowers in our room there was nothing that thier staff was not willing to do. The rooms we all occupied were immaculate! They were spacious and we even stayed in a Suite that was spacious enough for us to host gatherings after the rehearsal dinner & after the wedding. Not once did we have to make a call for anything. Ernie stopped by each day and asked if we needed anything further- and of the items we needed ( towels ) and even items rooms normally do not come with ( forks ) were sent up immediately! The hotel also offered plenty of parking, a wonderful heated pool , a Bar as well as restaurant. The lobby was also very inviting and plenty of room to sit and visit should you choose to sit down for a bit. I cannot think of any other place to recommend to family and friends because the entire time that we were there- we felt like we were home!

Thank you for making this weekend and experience very Memorable !

Had a great day stay and enjoyed the pleasant and attentive staff. Great accomodations, amazing pool and wonderful restaurant & bar. Hotel was conveniently located off of I-60 and close to shopping centers and the airport. Definately will be back soon - and will recommend to all my family and friends for future travels!

We had booked a week at this hotel to visit family . We arrived jet lagged and 8pm in the evening so were glad to go to the restaurant in the hotel for a light meal . The meal didn't live up to my American experiences previously. I had chicken and French fries, the chicken was as dry as the desert the hotel was in and the fries which America are apparently famous for were over cooked and cold . The skin on the chicken was a pale colour and soft and jelly like . My son had a club sandwich which again was cold and fries overdone he left most of it . It wasn't just us who disliked the restaurant as for the full 7 nights there were never more than one table booked each night . The room we booked was a King Suite , DO NOT BOOK THIS TYPE OF ROOM IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. All of the king suites are in the old part of the hotel and overlook the motorway with 6 lanes of traffic on each side. We asked the next morning for an alternative and were shown another room in the main hotel building which was far better. The décor in the King suites was tired , the ring of the shower hose was falling off and there was mildew around the bath area . The alternative room had a King bed and was much cleaner and modern . The staff are all very pleasant and helpful however the hotel do not cater for any dietary requests such as Gluten free. When I asked about this for our breakfasts I was told "We don't do that " and walked away . Go elsewhere for the breakfasts as they are cheaper also with more variety than the hotel . There is an excellent café just down the road on the corner from the hotel called Crackers and Co , you will not be disappointed . AND P.S to the Holiday Inn this small café offered me gluten free pancakes why can't a chain as big as the holiday Inn . The hotel pool was a nice area and a quiet pool , there is a huge sign detailing that you can't eat at the pool which is strange for a holiday poolside . The chairs at the pool could do with a good scrub but were comfortable enough and the free towels were a nice touch . Overrall after we reached our 2nd bedroom the stay was comfortable and friendly the beds are wonderfully soft and clean as I did check. I wouldn't return due to the restaurant and pool restictions as you can't relax . There are plenty of eating places a 10 minute drive away .
The receptionist who stood out for me in assistance was WAN he was lovely and very professional . The 3 females were friendly but not interested in you it was a false "Have a good day" .
It is not a 4 * as advertised I would say a decent 3 star , we weren't shown to our rooms on arrival just told to use the lift.On arrival the male receptionist not Wan asked about 5 times if we had already paid for the room . then he said hello , that was poor customer service.

Room Tip: book the rooms in the main hotel complex as the suites are in the old part of the hotel and badly ne...

My husband and I stayed overnight in early August while visiting family in Mesa. The room was spacious and very clean. We had a walk-out patio that took us directly to the pool. What a refreshing place to be on a hot Arizona evening! The staff was courteous and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We moved to the Holiday Inn after a crappy night at another nearby hotel. I can't say enough good things about how wonderful this Holiday Inn is!!! I have never been treated as good as I was treated there! The hotel is remodeled and it's beautiful. It has a great pool, the food is good and the staff did everything to make our stay there pleasant and convenient. It is the ONLY hotel I will stay at in that area!!!
