We had a two-bedroom unit - and the space was fabulous!!! Plenty of room for three couples. One of the bathrooms was big enough to sleep two as well. Great kitchen - loads of equipment for real cooking/eating, not just snacks. Really comfy leather sofas, great views from the balcony. Golf was super, and the Grandview Steakhouse was kitschy but fun, with entertainment every night as well as great food. Front desk ladies were lovely. Great location and great shopping close by. This place can't be beat!

Was a pretty nice resort, great location, clean, the one bedroom suite is very nice, nice view. (Service ws ok), because they forgot to clean our room the very next day, but we got a good deal because that.......

  • Liked — enough space (one bedroom suite) great
  • Disliked — (Service) no one is on the same page. They need more customer service

The Grand Vista was a pretty nice resort. With the exeption of this one crazy senile lady, the staff was polite. They lobby/clubhouse had a businnes center which was nice (had a computer with internet and a fax ect.) We had a one bedroom unit. It was a decent size. The jaccuzi tub was nice, but was the same size as a regular tub. One time when I burned some toast, the fire alarm went off. We called the staff and they did not come to assist us. They just told us to take the batteries out ourselves. The jaccuzi tub was sorta dirty when we first came so we had to clean it. Overall, this was OK.

Tip:

Don't sign up for the dinner buffet that they have unless you are 100% positive you are going to attend it. When we went, there was traffic and missed the dinner. Still, at check out, they charged us the dinner buffet because we signed up...what a ripoff =-(

My husband and I swapped a week at Sheraton Vistana Village for this resort. What a mistake. Let me first say upon arrival the grounds looked ok and we thought this is going to be alright however when we opened the door to the room we were shocked. Extemely outdated. The furnishings were worn, the carpet was dirty and the bedspread looked as if had been there forever. Our refridgerator freezer door was missing and it took two days to freeze a bottle of water. The air condioning unit was old and very noisy and the front desk made sure to tell us not to turn it down to low because it would freeze up. Also the TV was old and only got 8 channels.
This was our first trip to Arizona and we loved the state and would return but NEVER NEVER NEVER to Westgate Painted Mountain.

I started staying at Painted Mt. several years ago and arranging reservations for a group of golfers. I have always had the friendliest service and great units. My wife and I have stayed a week there twice and 2 years ago we took our granddaughter to Arizona for 2 weeks for her graduation present. This January we are planning on going back to Grandvista for 2 or 3 weeks. Nothing but good things to say of the staff and unit.
