Let me start out by saying that I usually stay in a more upscale resort, but wanted to stay closer to friends in Mesa. I debated between giving it a poor to average rating, so you decide if this was the appropriate rating. For what they usually charge guests, I think average is appropriate.
The timeshare one bedroom accommodation had the usual amenities; washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stove and oven, coffee maker, blender and toaster. These all worked well during our one week stay. The resort also has a nice swimming pool and a large hot/tub spa area. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well with the two ceiling fans. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, especially the younger staff members.
On the not-so-great side of the stay. The bathroom was huge with an older oversized whirlpool tub, it took a very long time to fill the tub and I think that's because we had a leak to the room below us. So after sitting in the whirlpool for about 10 minutes, it was half empty. A minor annoyance, but there was only one towel rack in the bathroom and a couple of hooks; would have been nice to have a towel bar near the sinks or another one on the long empty wall. It appeared that the room was recently painted, but you could tell that everything was dated. This included plastic covered kitchen chairs and stools, including one chair with a hole in the plastic, the two large HD (not flat screen) TVs and the DVD player that did not have Blu-ray or a working remote. In addition, you had to pay for wifi services, usually a complimentary service at timeshare property. Some of the towels that we had in our room would have been in my rag bag due to stains and wear. The one time housekeeping service was limited to towels and updated supplies, usually I expect to get clean sheets half way through the stay.
Since I traded in my regular timeshare to stay at this property, I will not return to this location. I had to pay a transaction fee to trade my time share and as a my traveling companion said, we usually stay at a palace and this was more equivalent a summer cabin in the woods.
