Like almost all the other reviewers, I too loved La Toscana. My room was very large and very clean, the staff incredibly friendly and attentive and the pool a real treat to escape from the summer heat. The wifi worked great and was free though only in the lobby which got quite hot in the afternoons when I was there in late February. If fresh fruit at breakfast time is important to you, buy some in town because the breakfasts consist of the medialuna, white bread and marmelade, typical Argentine breakfast (though this is the only place I have stayed in Argentina which did not add some fresh fruit for the guests.) The road leading to the hotel is a dirt one which was heavily rutted and not well lit at night. I felt perfectly safe walking it in the dark alone but thought some solo female travelers might not so I mention it. If you go to the mission from Posadas instead you will miss out on a real treat as this town was so quiet at night and the light and sound show at the mission so much fun. I stayed two nights but now that I know about the opportunities presented by the river there, if I had it to do over, I would have stayed longer. Be sure to check out Horacio Quiroga's house if you go - a real hidden delight.
