“Great Hotel in Perfect Location for City & Falls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Hotel located on river, excellent views. Very short walk into town for food and activities. Amazing spa services, spa overlooks river and has amazing views. Great restaurant. Friendly and very helpful staff. 10 minute walk to bus station to take bus to the Falls. Bus only cost $5 compared to about $35 for a taxi.

The Panoramic is only 20 minutes from the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls, and is a very comfortable place to spend the night.

The rooms are a good size, and very clean. The breakfast buffet offers a good choice and the dining room is clean and comfortable.

The pool is nicely located, with great views down to the rivers, but be sure to put on insect repellent before lying in the sun. There are comfortable sofas and chairs in a nice seating area in the lobby.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The hotel has free wifi, and there are a couple of PCs available for use (also free) in the lobby area.

I was all prepared to give this hotel 5 stars because the value for money was so good, until of course the additional tax came into it. Despite paying online (which I thought included tax) I ended up paying an extra $50 per night. So although the hotel was good, it was worth the money, no more.

The hotel itself is GORGEOUS! The rooms are nice, beds extremely comfortable, breakfast is really nice, and the common areas are fantastic. Really the selling point for this hotel is the Panoramic view (funnily enough!) and the pool and jacuzzi area are to die for.

The one problem is that this hotel is one of the furthest away from Iguazu, meaning you will be last dropped off and first picked up, and will probably spend the first hour of your day tour in the bus! A tip - get a taxi - the extra money is worth it. The upside is you are walking distance from the meeting of the rivers which is awesome.

This is definitely a place to come to relax and enjoy the beauty of Iguazu - I wish I'd stayed longer to enjoy the hotel itself rather than go off on day tours.

After a week in big apple Buenos Aires with all its energy, but also quite some air pollution challenges we fled back to nature in Puerto Iguazu. We decided for this hotel mainly due to the pool and view over the two rivers, which we never did regret ... apart from maybe staying a day less than what would have been ideal. Three nights would have been perfect to both relax at the hotel and have sufficient time to see the Iguazu falls area.
A big plus for the hotel was the fact that the staff were very friendly and interested in chatting with you and assisting in making the stay as pleasant as possible. The 2 restaurants were nice and serving delicious food. Rooms were nice and I can defnitely recommend to spend a couple of pesos more to get the river view from the bed : absolutely stunning !
Only drawback from a real 5* experience was the maintenance level - not in the rooms, but a couple of places in the outside hotel area. A detail that didn't spoil a very good and lasting experience with the beautiful rivers views and butterflies all around ... giving it a paradise-like feeling.

Room Tip: Choose higher floor away from the lifts - and with a view to the river.

The rooms are excellent with views over two rivers and just 20 minutes from the falls on the Argentinian side. The room was large, comfortable bed and a very good breakfast, by South American standards.

This was hotel 2 of our honeymoon!. Certainly the most luxurious. It's on a hill and overlooks some great views. There is a pool, two restaurants, spa and a casino that is apparently very popular with the locals.

The room was nice, a bit on the small side but nothing to complain about. They charge you for wifi but it is free in the lobby. Abit of a theme at the South American hotels, they don't provide an iron and charge a lot for laundry!.

Breakfast was lovely, we were only here for two nights and ate once at the hotel restaurant. The food was very nice, but as you expect quite expensive as were drinks at the bar. We ventured out in the local town area on the other night and it has the potential to get quite lively, lots of bars, clubs and restaurants. Obviously the key attraction of this area are the falls, other than that, not much more to see.

The hotel has a spa right at the top of the building it's small but worth visiting for the views.

We stayed for two nights as part of our honeymoon. The hotel is fine, comfortable enough but not as modern or well maintained expected. Rooms are small and could do with a refresh. Key selling point is the stunning location of the pool which is very pleasant. We had problems getting clean towels though and the staff were disinterested. Overall location is good though walking back at night could feel a bit dodgy due to poorly lit road. Area also overrun with wild dogs. Overall I would say there must be better places to stay in town for this price.
