The worst hotel I think I have stayed in - I gave 1 star only because I couldn't leave less. We did not book this hotel but were moved here from another hotel (supposedly they canceled our reservation due to plumbing issues in our cabana). It was New Year's Eve and we arrived late in the day. They told us they had only been open two weeks. The aroma of paint fumes both in the lobby and the rooms was strong but did become less noticeable. We had numerous problems in the rooms. There was no hot water in our room but was okay in adjoining room but the hot and cold fixtures are mislabeled (almost causing my son to burn himself in the shower), the patio door could not be looked so room unsecure, rooms missing racks and fixtures in bathrooms and closet. Rooms not finished with trim around doors, bathroom doors didn't shut. No telephone, no plug for one lamp at bedside. King size bed was two beds pushed together (twin beds in other room for children). Ants in room and bugs (both dead and alive in breakfast area of lobby) - though it is in the jungle so somewhat to be expected. The property dog barked at night several times. We ended up staying only because it was New Years weekend we going to be out of the property (at waterfalls) for majority of time. We asked for a discount and were given a 20 peso/night (basically $5/night) - come on!! Property is not near town - need a cab to get there. Currently on dirt road so after it rains, turns to mud which is tracked in rooms etc. The pool area was the only decent area. I was never so happy to leave a place. DO NOT STAY HERE! If you aren't ready to open - wait and get it right!
