“Amazing experience, one of our best yet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

We spent two nights here at the beginning of February 2014. What an amazing time we had. We were collected from Vegas and our mini bus driver was so funny, from start to finish he never stopped making us all laugh as well as being a fabulous tour guide, there was nothing this guy didn't know. When we arrived at the ranch it truly was like stepping back in time and straight onto a great western movie set. We were greeted by cowboy Dave who sang to us whilst also playing his guitar and mouth organ. our log cabins were amazing and so comfy, cosy and romantic with gas log burning heaters. The food in the main cabin was also of a very good standard. The small staff were all keen to make your stay perfect and would do anything they could to help. We had a camp fire on the first evening with cowboy Dave while sitting under a clear Skye of twinkling stars. We took the helicopter flight over the canyon which is not to be missed. The only thing we felt was missing was something to do or watch during the day. it would have been nice if the shooting range had been open (don't know why it wasn't) or even a display of riding skills or something from the cowboys. We did the sunset ride on horseback up the mountain in the late afternoon and that was very enjoyable even if you are a novice. There is nowhere you can walk to so you are left to read or just enjoy the company of the other guests. You are forced to chill out and these days this isn't a bad thing is it. We certainly did and will now look forward to visiting this amazing place again in the future. one more thing, it was freezing outdoors at night so make sure you have a warm jacket, hat and gloves are a must! Enjoy, we did!

Room Tip: They should all be of equal standard but some had a mezzanine area above the bathroom for families.

We visited the ranch as part of a package day to fly over the canyon. I have to say the ranch exceeded my expectations and everyone who worked there was very welcoming. Food was brilliant the best ribs I've ever had we loved it! The only thing I would feedback is organisation of the day we wasn't given a clear plan of what we where doing but apart from that the whole day was brilliant. I would recommend to anyone wanting a Grand Canyon experience that is different to the typical sky walk. We especially loved the horse and carriage to the helicopter.
All the staff where great and we would definitely return in the future!

My husband, myself and our 5 year old twins stayed at the ranch for 3 days. The people, Linda, Uncle Brian, April and Cowboy Dave were AMAZING and some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. They are all the REAL deal!!! My children fell in love with Cowboy Dave and his "partner" Beanie!!! The buffalo sunset wagon trip was awesome! In our opinion, it is the calibur of the people who work there that makes this ranch as grand as it is. They made us all feel like we were part of the family! The cabin we stayed in was clean as a whistle and the beds were so comfortable. We LOVED it and cannot wait to go back!

We were a group of nine staying for two nights in three cabins at the ranch, please ignore poor reviews as this place was wonderful, the views especially on our sunset horse ride were spectacular.
The food and atmosphere were lovely, if you want peace and quiet with a friendly welcome this is the place!
Anthony needs a special mention, he led our horse ride and was very informative and funny, he also took the time to engage the children in our party, answering their many questions, showing them how to rope cattle and encouraging them to feel comfortable with the horses, he is an absolute credit to the ranch.
As many people have said already cowboy Dave is a wonderful character, unfortunately we were far to tired to attend the campfire, but he made us all feel very welcome.
Thank you to everyone at the ranch for a wonderful stay x

We left the Grand Canyon Ranch yesterday after a wonderful 2-night stay. It's history is so fascinating with true gunslinger/outlaw connections to the real Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon was brilliant and the sunset horse ride to see the buffaloes was something else. Anthony was our guide on the horseback tour and we learned a lot from him. We had tremendous fun with all the staff, especially Cowboy Dave, John, Brian, Casey, Matt and Skyler. My horse was called Dexter, a lovely big grey guy who was more interested in eating the grass at first but we had so much fun. We would go back again tomorrow we enjoyed it so much. Thanks all you guys, we'll never forget you. Val and John

we really enjoyed our time here at the Grand Canyon Ranch we had a very relaxing experience with the great company of CASEY ADAMS singing all the time to us and telling us all kind of information about the history of the Ranch and the daily activities around the area, we stayed at the Duncan Cabin and let me tell you it was a 4 star place I seriously recommend this place to relax and as a step stone to visit the west side of the canyon including the visit at the famous SKYWALK that was another great experience took thousands of pictures and we will return for sure.

After nearly a year in the planning for our 25th wedding anniversary, which we had booked a night in a tipi and one day riding and sleeping under the stars, but when we got there they knew nothing about this? I was just about to go mental and flip out when they offered us an alternative. Instead we were offered a sunset ride out on horses and a flight in a helicopter over the Grand canyon, and a free meal meal and drinks. I was still a little hesitant, but anything was better than nothing, so we accepted (although disappointed)... however the sunset ride out was lovely, and the helicopter ride was great. Although we should have had 2 nights here we opted for one instead and cowboy Dave may this extra special for us. Without Cowboy Dave this place would not exist...The place is run down and needs a make over, but Dave makes you see beyond this to makes your stay special. Dave you were our hero around the camp fire and gave us great memories which made our stay special. Dave deserves a medal for keeping this place going and keeping the holiday makers stay there.
