“Grand Canyon Ranch - once in lifetime experience and very friendly hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

As a part of our honeymoon trip to the south-western US, myself and my husband stayed at the Grand Canyon Ranch for one night and we were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of our hosts. Names have to be mentioned: Cowboy Dave and Miss April were amazing, Pepper went out of his way to cook a lovely meal for me despite my medical requirements (and what a delicious meal it was) and the cowboys (and cowgirl) who met us were so friendly and really allowed us an insight into their lives – we felt truly honoured. Dave spent time with us sharing his jokes and telling us about the history of that part of the united states which was really interesting to hear, as well as singing us cowboy songs by the campfire underneath a starlit sky (not just the stars but you can also see the celestial clouds of the milky way-it was a once in a lifetime experience).
It does appear that the office in Las Vegas who run these tours (Heli USA) don’t always make people aware that the horseback ride is not included in the overall price and is payable at the ranch. This seems to cause confusion and I would like to make it clear that the staff at the ranch are by no means at fault here. It is the staff in Vegas who need to be more clear. Incidentally this horseback ride IS worth the money.
The cabin we stayed in was well-decorated and really cosy. The wood-burner kept us so warm and the bed was comfortable, and the shower facilities very good. It was a wonderfully romantic night looking at the clear sky and cuddling up by the wood burner – perfect for our honeymoon.
This ranch is a definite must. Everybody is so friendly and we felt really sad to leave – even after just one night. I challenge anyone to not fall in love with Beanie and Taco, and a final thanks to everyone who made our stay at the ranch so enjoyable.

Would love to bring our kids back here (if and when we have them) to experience the cowboy life.

Claire and Alan :)

Room Tip: We chose a log cabin rather than a traditional style tent/tee pee. I think this was the right choice...

My Aunt, her boyfriend and I stayed at the ranch for 2 nights, as we arrived, i was greeted by a man dressed as a true cowboy. Later found out to be Cowboy Dave. The first evening I helped Dave with the fire, after he showed and explained very nicely and patiently about all the guns they have at the ranch, we together made a perfect tipi fire which later on warmed many of us while we toasted delicious smokes, courtesy of Dave, at this time Dave and i became good friends. The next evening, we repeated the experience except only Dave I and a few rogue cows, which he and beanie chased off, this was when we arranged our crayfishing trip, for the next day. Alas as morning came the small pond which contained the crayfish was frozen and on top of that our bait freshly cooked bacon dissapeared suddenly out of the blue, into the abyss of ravenous mouths. Instead as dave and I had so much time to spare, we decided to walk up the mountain to see the buffalo, on the way up Dave pointed out all the various types of plants and explained what properties they have and then proceded to tell me what animals there are in the dessert. After the buffalo on the way down, we were lucky enough to find some scat and we then proceded to track a bobcat. This morning was the highlight of my trip at the ranch and the best christmas day i have ever had, all thanks to cowboy Dave! The ranch is perfect for everybody, there is always something to do, from horse riding, to helicopter trips over the canyon, just be sure to ask for a week when Cowboy Dave is there as he will make you Trip!

My husband, myself and my son stayed here for 1 night in December. We loved it here. Cowboy Dave was very friendly and entertaining and really made our stay an enjoyable one. We loved the sing a long around the campfire and we were the only ones there so had plenty of laughs and requests. We did the sunset horse ride and the wagon ride the next day. The cabins were very cute and even though it was really cold outside they were lovely and warm inside. We will always remember our trip to the ranch as well as our helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. I would highly recommend this ranch for those wanting to experience cowboy life or just to get away from the lights of Las Vegas for a break.

Arrived here with my family of five to be given a room with two single beds and a queen.
Was asked to tough it out one night and problem would be fixed in the morning. Paid flat rate of 40 dollars for a bad dinner.
Next day at 5:00 p.m. Was given a large cabin.
2 singles and a queen again. Now they tell me that's the biggest they have. A pure lie or the web site advertises falsely. Booked in October.what a scam.
I left and called heliusa who does booking for them.
Was told manager (Jackson) would call me back within the hour
That was yesterday.
Don't go here

My Husband and I stayed for 1 night at the ranch, we were told on arrival that we would be the only guest staying overnight that night which at first was disapointing as more guest would of made a better atmosphere, nevertheless it turned out to be great as we had all the attention which made it more of a personal service. The cabin, was comfortable and the food was great just what we expected our stay was really relaxing and tranquill. Casey Adams was our singing cowboy he sang all the time he is Brilliant !!!!! he is a very talented guy and it was our pleasure and privilege to meet him he helped us settle in and after our sunset horseback ride with Dean (who is also great) we had a fab meal and then it was round the campfire for more singing. we had a fab time and would definatley go back.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 year old son Luka. You have everything that you need, not having TV and Internet was really relaxing! All the people from the ranch were great!!! Meal times were like eating with family. Every little piece of the ranch seems authentic and clean! Expensive, well, not more than anywhere else! Our son loved all the animals, everybody was really friendly with him, and us! We would stay there again, our son keeps talking about Cowboy Dave and the ranch dog Beanie, we all miss you! Every night Cowboy Dave would make a fire and played his guitar and sang songs...s'mores and wine, it was great! Thank you all!

If you are looking for an authentic ranch experience, you should definitely chose the Grand Canyon Ranch.
- Cabins are cute, clean and very confortable (if you want your room serviced, you need to put the sign out on your door)
- Restaurant serves deliscious food all day (had an excellent à-la-carte dinner ... breakfast was ok)
- Live entertainment during meals
- The signer Casey Adams sang at night with his guitare by the camp-fire which made our whole trip so much more memorable !!
- Great view of the mountains and close to the Grand Canyon (a 30-45 minut drive)
- Huge ranch with a lot of beautiful horses (horseback riding available: worth to pay for the beautiful view and the friendly cowboys but don't expect to actually ride a horse wherever you want in the desert ... there is a whole group of people who have never been on a horse before with you !)

Room Tip: Large Cabins could accomodate up to 5 people (1 double bed on main floor and possibility of adding a...
