Concordia is a town that has seen better days. Away from the pleasnt main plaza and the nearby pedestrianised shopping street it is quite run-down. However, if you´re coming from or going to Salto, Uruguay, you might want to stay a night here and there are a couple of pleasantly good resto-bars with outside seating on the plaza.
The hotel appears to be 1970´s and the rooms haven´t been updated. Many have a good view of the plaza and church, but no balconies. Perhaps the best thing about this hotel is the friendly and helpful staff, and they are very flexible with their prices when not busy which is probably most of the time. I was given a standard room (normally 280 pesos) for same price as smaller economy room 220 pesos ($58) which is very cheap for a "4-star" hotel. As is often the case in S.America the ratings are optimistic.
Anyway the room had a desk but not a mini-bar - only in "superior" rooms which I didnt think worth the extra. Otherwise pretty average type of hotel. When trying to open the sliding windows to take a photo of plaza, there was a lot of grime in the sliders..
The hotel has a spaciously cool lobby with public internet - modern flat screen - and a good coffee shop. There is a small pool.
