“Perfect oasis for business trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

This is my fifth trip to San Juan and my fifth stay here. The staff has always been helpful and patient - my Spanish pronunciation is probably painful for native speakers.

The rooms are quite beautiful, spacious with a large, comfortable king sized bed. Plenty of pillows are available, as well as a desk and free-standing table with three chairs in the room.

The bathroom in some rooms is all connected - the toilet next to the bath tub, which turns to the shower (separate), while in others the toilet is in a separate compartment - same design, just a wall between the bath and toilet.

Breakfast buffet has numerous choices and is available until 10:30 am. The Cava restaurant is open late, in typical Argentinean fashion, and has always been delicious. Room service is more limited, but always prompt.

The pool and spa are also options, though I have never partaken. The casino is attached, but not so you have to enter through it. Currently they will give you 100 Pesos to spend there.

I love this hotel and will continue to enjoy it!

I stayed here for a few nights with some business associates, so I did not spend much time using the amenities. This is definitely an upscale hotel, with cool architecture and interesting room design / decor. The bed was comfortable and the room had a desk and large bathroom. The room did not have carpet, which gave it a minimalist look. The service at the bar and large restaurant downstairs was great - very nice and helpful staff. The Casino was separate from the hotel and not open all the time, so you don't need to walk through it to get to your room or anything else. Please note: The hotel is an atrium-style, so that means some guests will hear noise from the lobby, depending where your room is located. Your best bet is to choose a higher floor. Also, I'm not sure if all the front desk staff speaks English. Be sure to check on this before you book!

The hotel is very nice and clean. However, during our stay, somebody was working 10 cm next to the entrance of our room during 'siesta' time...WITH A HAMMER...we couldn't make that stop even after we complained to the front desk. Also, the restaurant was closing early that day, due to some maintenance work that needed to be done...we had to have a sandwich in the Hotel's Casino, which was not good at all...Finally, the hotel was quite nosy in general (I think due to it's design) and very cold.

I did stay at del Bono Park in May 2010 for two nights. The room was of a high standard. Staff was very attentive and polite, speaking excellent English. The hotel is modern with a high open atrium and a thrilling glass bridge on the third floor. There is a very nicelly located restaurant on the ground floor.

Was here for a night for a meeting. Hotel is a bit gaudy being a casino, but it's relaxing, and pretty quiet. Huge bath and shower (though the glass panel for the shower was cracked and water was leaking on to the carpet). Friendly front desk staff who were happy to allow a late checkout when our meeting ran late.

The restaurant food is a bit average. Steaks were overcooked, and some of the other food came out barely warm or cold. Wine selection was good, as to be expected in this part of the world! Breakfast had heaps of options and was good though.

If you ever find yourself in the San Juan, Argentina area, make a point of staying at the new Hotel Del Bono Park. The architecture of the hotel is outstanding modern with a six story open atrium and a glass bridge to the third level rooms.

The service is the very best and the staff tries to do everything to make your stay perfect. The restaurant's menu is somewhat limited, but what is on the menu is excellent in presentation, taste, quanity and value. The wine list is mostly from the San Jaun region with some very outstanding wines by the bottle. By the glass wines are limited to a single vendor, but they have a good selection.

The gym, dry sauna and wet sauna are all very nice, but the wet sauna was offline the day I attended so I cannot give an opinion of its operation. The gym and dry suana were perfect for a hotel.

Don't expect to be a big winner at the blackjack table because the limits are low for Americans use to Las Vegas. The minimum was $5 pesos (about $1.40 US) and the maximum was $50 pesos (about $14 US). They need to raise the maximum to at least $200 pesos just so you don't wear out trying to get to $100 US.

There is a very nice breakfast buffet included with the room rate in the other restaurant area in the morning and they do have eggs and bacon on the buffet.
