Attention!! During luggage deposit after our stay in the hotel on the final day, an iPod was stolen out of the luggage storage. It seems that the receptionist Barbara behind the counter was involved, because after calling the hotel and informing about the situation, there was no response and my contact data was immediately sent to the spamfilter-list. :-((

I recently spent 3 nights at the Villagio Hotel. It was very lovely. The rooms were spacious with a separate area with a table that had its own sink. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very generous. There is a lovely roof area where you can sit at the end of the day to relax.
I also recommend that you use a driver to take you to the wineries, as they are difficult to find on your own, or to drive up to the Andes. We used an excellent driver, who's website is www.gustavodelucchi.com. He enriched our trip in many unexpected ways. Gustavo is very knowledgeable, charming and planned the most amazing day for us that fit my requests perfectly. We learned a lot from him about the area and its wine. His English is excellent and he helped make the winery tour come alive. I enthusiastically recommend him. Just let him know your particular interests and he will customize a day tour for you.
Try to have one meal at Azafran.

Needed to Travel to Mendoza for a event and I was tired to always stay at the same hotel. Found The Villaggio on Trip Advisor and booked it. Great location, Hotel staff very friendly and helpfull, nice hotel room, no noise. Downlows? Not able to connect to VPN and they were not able to work it out with their vendor. Breakfast options need to include fruits not only pastries, bed and pillows need to be a little better. I do recommend it!

Hotel villagio is a great and cozy hotel. Its located in a safe arrea, which is within a block of the central park, downtown shopping arrea and fine restaurants. By choosing this hotel you will get value for your money.
The service of the staff is very nice and helpfull. The rooms are clean and had a lot of space, however the bathroom had a smell during the first night. Leaving the bathroom window open is recommended.
Azafran and Senor Buque restaurant are worth visiting if you like fine dining.
Thanks to Ampora wine tours agency who recommend and made the reservation for us. We would return to this hotel when visiting Mendoza.
