“Simpel, maar zeer sfeervol”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

I stayed here two days. The rooms are old and small, but clean. The patio is wonderful. Every evening I sat outside on the patio (also because my room was so small) . Breakfast is very simple (but that is everywhere in Argentina). Good wifi connection. Do not expect any luxioury. But then the price is also very low. So I think good value for your money.

We planned to stay in this hotel for 4 nights but left after 1. The patio is nice and the location is good but apart from that it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!! Old en scruffy room, terrible bathroom (whole bathroom gets soaked when you take a shower), breakfast was only cereals without milk and sweet pastry and worst of all: very unkind staff! They did not speak one word of English and were so unkind we decided to leave after the first night. Big disappointment.

We stayed two nights in this hotel and have a very bad opinion about it. Apart from the pleasant courtyard, the rooms are quite small, dark and made us feel like in a prison cell, especially regarding the simple room. Cockroaches in the room. But the worst there is the hotel staff, who are very rude and unwelcoming. Prices are far too high in comparison to other standards in the country. In the end, we strongly recommand to avoid this place at all costs.

We chose this because of it's central location. We hadn't booked beforehand, and had no trouble - but it was the shoulder season, so not so touristy. The room and shower were very clean and quite small, but adequate for our needs. The courytyard was a little oasis where you could relax and use the wifi (better strength than in our room). The decor was a little past its best, but not an issue. For the price we paid, including a generous buffet breakfast, it was very good value for money. I would put it in the 'good' category, but there isn't one.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights at the beginning of March. For the price we paid the room was decent and the bathroom and hotel in general was very clean. The hotel was improved by being in a great location and it has a lovely little courtyard which is perfect for unwinding in.

But...and this is a big "but" the customer service was terrible and completely undermined all the good things that the hotel has going for it. We made a booking and paid the full amount a couple of weeks before our stay, in person. A few days before we were due to arrive we thought we would check our booking, they had absolutely no record at all, which probably wasn't surprising since they seemed very disorganised. The owner's attitude was very aggressive and hugely unhelpful, refusing to believe that we had a booking and claiming that they didn't recognise us. Eventually after a long argument they managed to find our booking written on a scrap of paper. We obviously no longer wanted to stay in the hotel, but they refused to cancel and we had to stay. During our stay they were very unhelpful and often ru and very unfriendly. An attitude they seemed to have with everyone. Overall not worse the hassle at all.
