Stayed for 3 nights during our two week Argentina/Brazil honeymoon and not too much to complain about. Our flight from Buenos Aires was delayed, so by the time we arrived in Mendoza it was dark and no city taxis were available at the airport. The only people outside the very small airport were trying to convince us to let them take us to the hotel, but we called the Park Hyatt and they said they'd have a hotel car pick us up within 15 mins. We decided to wait and the Park Hyatt private car arrived in no time.
The hotel had a bottle of champagne on ice and a plate of chocolates in the room upon our arrival. Lovely mountain view room, which was clean and decorated in modern furnishings. Beds were extremely plush and comfortable and no hallway noise could be heard.
The only complaint we had was that the floor of the shower was not designed properly, so it was slanting away from the drain and towards the shower door. It didn't cause any major flooding, but it was an annoyance. We notified the front desk immediately and they moved us to another room within a couple hours. No problems with the second room.
The breakfast buffet is very good, although it didn't change during the three days we were there. We also ate at one of the hotel restaurants Grill Q, which was excellent.
The hotel is centrally located, within easy walking to a few very nice restaurants... we would recommend Azafran to anyone. The concierge helped arrange a wine tour and a horseback riding excursion, although I'd recommend you book things early if you want a private tour with the hotel cars.
We also had a couple massage treatments at the hotel spa, which were good, although not as good as what you'd receive in most of Asia. The spa facilities were very clean and generally empty, so you'll have the sauna or steam room all to yourself.
The attached casino is mainly filled with video slot machines, but had a few table games starting in the afternoon.
If you're going not going to stay in a small boutique or bed/breakfast in Mendoza, then you're best option is the Park Hyatt. We heard bad things about the Sheraton.
