Our visit to Guapa Polo was nothing short of incredible. To start, Sami picked us up at our hotel - and I woke up that day not feeling very well but I absolutely did not want to miss our polo experience. After going out of his way to take us to the pharmacy, I got all fixed up with some miraculous Argentinian cold medications and felt like a million bucks by the time we arrived at the farm. Marcelo warmly welcomed us to the property with mimosas and breakfast and a tour of the absolutely stunning grounds. It really is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. We got to meet his little pup Jack which we adored. Then after we had breakfast we began our polo lesson. The horses were beautiful and easy to ride, even for my husband who had not had as much riding experience as me before our visit. We had the opportunity to play polo and ride the horses as long as we wanted, we probably rode for a good three hours before we got tired and were ready for lunch. We were treated to an amazing authentic Argentine barbecue with several bottles of wine, Fernet Branca and we even joined in on the Mate tea ritual. We had such a great time and shared many laughs with Marcelo and Sami. They were kind enough to take dozens of photos of us while we were there and sent them to us after we returned home to the US. It was a really special experience and I can't wait to go back. I work on a very large US based annual Polo event so I was specificially looking for an authentic Polo experience when I stumbled on this day trip, it was nothing short of magical and we will remember this experience for the rest of our lives.
It is well worth the cost per person and includes round trip transportation from your hotel (about 50 minutes each way from Buenos Aires) the polo lesson, and the amazing barbecue feast as well as snacks, wine and beverages throughout the day.
