What an incredible find!!! This early 1900 building has had the 3rd floor restored to an elegance that shouts Buenos Aires culture. The proprietor and his wife spent a great deal of time in this labor of love and have succeeded in creating a stylish comfortable bed and breakfast type hotel. All of the personnel are friendly and eager to make you stay warm and wonderful. Most speak English and all go the extra mile to meet the guests needs.The rooms on the street are large and elegant and although noisy (after all you are in the bustling BA) they include you in thelife going on all around you at a pace that is uniquely Argentine.If you are looking for peace and quiet ask for one of the rooms on the inside. They are just as uniquely decorated and very quiet. For a special treat request afternoon tea or have a drink in the parlor and take in the original paintings done by a local artist. The location of the hotel couldn't be more perfect. Three blocks either way and you are on the subte (sub-way). You can get anywhere you want to efficiently and cheaply. Or you can just walk several blocks along Corrientes and take in a Tango show. Our stay was truly memorable!

We have just returned home from a wonderful 3 week holiday in Argentina, including a few days in the beautiful Colonia de Sacramento in Uruguay. We spent a total of 13 days in Buenos Aires, and selected Rooney's Boutique Hotel as our base while travelling around the country.
Rooney's is ideal, as it is central to all the recommended tourist attractions. It's air of informality and the comfort of the bedrooms are a haven for all tired and apprehensive visitors. It's owner Kieran Rooney and his wonderful and courteous staff were one of it's main attractions.Their interest in the needs of the guests was most welcome. Their knowledge of tourist locations, restaurants, theatres, and sporting events and their help in booking same is a great service to their guests. The organised Tango classes are an added attraction.
We are really looking forward to staying there again on our next visit to Buenos Aires.

This small hotel is absolutely charming with its high ceilings, antique furnishings and friendly staff. The staff spoke English and that was a big help to me in dealing with a couple a situations for which I needed translation. Also, the hotel security was good, something that was important to me as a woman travelling by myself. A nice continental breakfast was included with the price. There was no internet available for guests but there were some internet outlets a couple of blocks away at a reasonable price.

We had a really lovely stay at Rooneys. A great location in the micro centre and near the metro. A fantastic room with antique furniture and claw foot bath. The staff were really helpful and couldn´t do enough for us. We loved the free tango lesson and the whole atmosphere of the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return one day.
