This small hotel is absolutely charming with its high ceilings, antique furnishings and friendly staff. The staff spoke English and that was a big help to me in dealing with a couple a situations for which I needed translation. Also, the hotel security was good, something that was important to me as a woman travelling by myself. A nice continental breakfast was included with the price. There was no internet available for guests but there were some internet outlets a couple of blocks away at a reasonable price.

We had a really lovely stay at Rooneys. A great location in the micro centre and near the metro. A fantastic room with antique furniture and claw foot bath. The staff were really helpful and couldn´t do enough for us. We loved the free tango lesson and the whole atmosphere of the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return one day.

  • Liked — The quality of the decor made the room special. A real treat.

The Ronney is great little hotel located in the Tribunals Barrio of B.A. The neighborhood is a little mixed, but overall has a good vibe. The hotel itself has a wonderful staff that truly tries to accomodate your requests. They are very good at calling taxi's and making reservations at restaurants. I would not have them reccommend restaurants, as they they are all very young and have not expereinced the finer places in B.A; however what they lack in experience they make up for in efforts. The hotel is very new, only two months old, so everything is freshly painted, the sheets and towels are new and the rooms themselves are very clean. It is no FourSeasons, but at around $125.00/night; you get your monies worth. Only a couple of bad things...the website mentions nightly wine tasting and a Tango demonstration which did not exist and when I asked, they did not know what I was talking about. There were no wash clothes or bath mats in the room, only towels and hand towels. Also the rooms can be a bit noisey as the street below is extremely busy and some rooms are conncted but only a wooden door and your can hear the people in the next room like they are standing (or coughing, or watching TV) in your room. If you want a balconied room, make sure you request and outer balcony as some face an inner courtyard with no view at all. Other than that we loved this little gem.

Rooneys is a very accommodating hotel with
fantastic, friendly staff. We have now come back
three times whilst in South America and have booked
another two nights before we depart. The rooms are
beautifully restored, clean and tastefully furnished. We also
enjoyed the complimentary tango class + wine tasting!!!
