“Loved the Legado”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2010

There's no getting away from it; even the smallest rooms are eye wateringly expensive but the pricetag does come with excellent service - the best we experienced in Argentina. In fact, it's up there with the best service we've received anywhere. Each query was promptly dealt with, including those that we made prior to our arrival. We stayed in El Gaucho and the room was tastefully decorated; we particularly liked the folder telling the story of El Gaucho in English and Spanish. The bathroom was also very nice and we particularly liked the three glass tiles which allowed natural light into it. The rooftop jacuzzi and garden is a real indulgence.

Our only minor criticism was the noise level from the cleaning staff early in the morning; if breakfast is served till 11 (which is great!), it does mean guests will indulge in sleeping late. However, if cleaning staff vaccuum vigorously from 9.00am (and there were only a very small number of rugs on our floor), it does mean that sleeping late isn't possible.

All of the restaurant recommendations made by the front of house staff were wonderful. I'd recommend this hotel without reservation

We stayed at the Legado twice in September and both times it was absolutely fabulous!!
The rooms are very spacious and very nicely decorated, paying a lot of attention to the details! The bathrooms are a dream, especially in La Primera Dama & El Idealista with the jacuzzi/scottish shower!
The hotel itself is greatly located in the Palermo Soho district in a rather quiet street! In addition, the hotel has very good isolation (unusual in BsAs), so that you have a very good night's sleep!
However, what stands out in the Legado Mitico is the service and the friendliness of the people! Our waitress in the morning always had a smile, together with the amazing breakfast buffet, it was a perfect start in the day! Furthermore, the whole staff at the reception helps you with any kind of request - taxis, food recommendations, any other requests is promptly answered and perfectly executed!
It's a gem in Palermo and I can recommend it 100%!

Fantastic 11 room boutique hotel in a great area for food and boutique (but not expensive) shopping.

Jorge and Mathias on front desk were a great help.

Tango lessons and milonga at La Viruta are only a few blocks away.

As is La Cabrera, the best steak house in town.

Don't bother with the overly expensive Rojo tango show - La Viruta was a lot more fun, interesting and authentic.

We had just completed the Inca trail - so we wanted a luxurious stay and place to unwind and thats what we found.. The service was attentive, the rooms were huge and beautifully appointed, location was perfect easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, breakfast was included and free wifi throughout the hotel a great place to stay.

I had the great pleasure of staying in Legado Mitico in Buenos Aires and its sister hotel in Salta in April of this year. The hotels are owned by two great architects who have created two magnificentr properties in old buildings in both cities. They are managed and run by wonderful, professional and most helpful staff. The utmost attention is paid to every detail: excellent breakfasts, large, individually decorated bedrooms with top class linens and toiletries, lots of books available to guests. In fact staying in the hotels felt like staying in a wonderful home. I have travelled extensively over the past forty years and these hotels comparge very favourably with the best. The fact that they are small ensures that the level of service is entirely personal and the welcome I received at both was very genuine. I have no hesitation in recommending them to the most discerning of travellers.

Visited for the first stop on our honeymoon. What a super place. Quiet, but close to some great nightlife. Very friendly and exquisitly furnished this is a top quality hotel with top quality staff. Being in Palermo may seem a bit far out, but we never spent more than 25 pesos on a taxi, and you really can see it all. Don Juan's, down the road, for huge steaks of great quality ,makes up for the lack of a restaurant. Last tip, have a G and T as your free drink, they dont use much tonic!
