I travel for a living and spend a lot of time in hotels. I booked a week-long stay at Mine through their website. They arranged pickup at the chaotic Buenos Aires airport and welcomed us earlier than normal checkin time.

The hotel is supremely clean, the rooms very very comfortable, and the location beyon perfect. But what really stands out is the staff.

First the location. Mine is in Palermo Soho, a trendy neighborhood of shops, restaurants, and bars. Pretty much anything you would want to do is within a few blocks of the hotel. Local designers, amazing restaurants, and seemingly all-night bars are less than five minutes away. No matter where we went in BA, we always wanted to come back to "our neighborhood" to relax. Getting around BA from Palermo is simple. It's a perfect center location. When you're there, make sure to eat at Mott, two blocks away. The entire neighborhood feels like a slice of NYC or Paris, truly.

Now to the property itself. It's small so it's always quiet and without the fuss of a major hotel. The restaurant area and patio are quiet and almost zen-like. Anytime of day there's someone sitting outside reading, relaxing on the couch, or enjoying a coffee. As far as the rooms go, excellent. The zen-like showers get some bad reviews on tripadvisor because sometimes they leak a bit. If you've ever used a large zen like shower, it will occasionally spill through the glass door. It's nothing to complain about.

The shining star of the property is the staff. By our second day we knew their names and they ours. They go way out of their way to help you find a restaurant, find a destination for the afternoon, or figure out the neighborhoods of BA. They aren't the typical concierge with brochures and tourism-board inspired ideas. They live there and are themselves interesting people, so they know how to direct you to what you want.

All in all, I mean this when I say I was sad to leave. The hotel has the feeling of home. Warm, comfortable, and perfectly located. We honestly felt like each time we returned, we were returning to our apartment. It's more expensive than the standard, run of the mill BA properties, but it's worth it. You're staying in a neighborhood like SOHO or Chelsea in NYC and the convenience is worth it. You'll agree after you spend a few minutes shopping or at a restaurant that you would only think to find in a city like NYC.

I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. Give it a shot. It will blow you away.

The Mine Hotel was our base for touring around the country and I always looked forward to going back there - the staff are fantastic; very helpful, very friendly and very good speakers of English for the non-Spanish speakers out there.

We stayed in three different Superior rooms and all were reasonably large, well-maintained and stylishly furnished. There is definitely a distinct advantage to being on the back of the building - there is some low-level traffic noise on the front (although this did not affect our sleeping in the slightest) and the room was not as well laid out as our others but was lovely nonetheless.

The location is superb too - 30 mins and AR$20 by taxi from AEP and around 40 mins from EZE, plus it's in the middle of the very cool Palermo Soho district of BsAs, with it's boutique shops and many superb restaurants and bars. Taxis into the harbour and downtown BsAs are ony AR$25 and take around 10 - 30 mins depending on traffic and exact location.

The food in the restaurant is good and the breakfast is of the usual buffet style (i.e. cereals, fruit, pastries, breads / rolls, cheese / ham, spreads etc) with hot items cooked to order.

The service we received was excellent and always friendly - one thing I would say is that at breakfast you need to be pro-active in requesting things, e.g. hot breakfast items. It will be performed straight away, with a smile and with no fuss, but you need to ask, particularly when it's busy.

I hope to return to BsAs in the not too distant future, and will definitely pick the Mine Hotel again.

We stayed at Mine for 4 nights in the middle of October. It has an excellent location, right in the heart of Palermo Soho. For the first 3 nights we were in a Superior room on the street, which was well appointed, although a little noisy due to traffic going by. Later at night the traffic noise subsides a bit , and we had no problem sleeping. The room has plenty of closet space, flat screen tv, a nice bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a shower. We moved to the Palermo Suite for our last night, due to the hotel not having availablity of the Superior rooms. The Palermo Suite is definitely not worth the extra money. Our Superior room was as nice as the Palermo Suite. The bed size seemed to be the same in both. The Palermo Suite is at the back of the hotel, so you don't have the issue of street noise, but there are Superior rooms that are not on the street, so just request one when making a reservation.
Mine serves a buffet style breakfast, with various choices of breads, cereals, fruits, as well as a couple of egg choices. It's a nice breakfast to start the day.
The common areas at Mine are well decorated, and comfortable. There's a lounge with a large flat screen t.v., a small outside deck with a few tables and chairs, and there's music playing thoughout the day.
It's a smaller hotel, 20 rooms, I think, but it doesn't feel intimate. We had a fine stay at Mine, but we probably wouldn't stay there again.

My Wife and i stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. First impressions were sensational. Aesthetically the hotel looks first class. The staff are excellent and english is spoken by all staff. The kitchen and food was also excellent. The rooms are small but they are nice and more than adequate for the $$. The location is really great, nearby to restuarants, shopping and not that far from downtown.

Rooms have regular cable internet or wi-fi and speeds / reliability is very good. Rooms have a safe which will accommodate a 15" laptop no more.

The pros: Location, location & location, the staff, the amenities and the can do attitude of everyone in the hotel.

The cons: the concrete floors look good and are no doubt durable but they are noisy and if you happen to have a room below someone else you need to hope they dont wear high heels or move the chairs at all. You will hear it.

This hotel is less than a year old and i am glad i stayed here. It was a good experience. I read the other reviews and i have to say most are accurate. (except the really negative one).

I would be happy to check in again and make sure i have a room on the top floor. Bravo to the Mine Hotel.

We just stayed at the hotel for 3 days, the service is discreet and friendly. the rooms are great with an excellent bed.
Breakfast served in their small restaurant is great, as well as the room service food.
The only complaint I would make is that the cement floors make the place a little noisy.
We will stay here again next time we go to Buenos Aires.
