Some positives but a few negatives as well.
The Mine is a relatively new Boutique hotel in the trendy Palermo Soho neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
I stayed at Mine for a total of 3 nights and 4 days in May. I had a pleasant stay overall there, but unlike some of the previous reviewers, I found a few things that may need improvement there.
Pros -
- Location, Location. The hotel is located in the Hip and trendy Palermo Soho with a lot of good restaurants and fun shops. Only 3 or 4 blocks away is Plaza Serrano with some very interesting funky stores.
- Amenities: The hotel, tastefully decorated, has a very fresh and modern feel to it. The room was comfortable, stylish and very clean with a comfortable beds are very comfortable and great showers Cool and elegant Lounge as well. There is free wireless in the premises.
- Front desk staff are very helpful, efficient and courteous. They will go out of their way to make sure that your requests are met.

Cons
Breakfast. the buffet/ breakfast is a disappointment, no imagination, very limited choice of items, very few fruits etc. They could definitely use some variety there. If one is on a carb diet, you will not find much else to eat in the morning.
Noise. One previous reviewer mentioned the noise. I made the same comment to the manager My room 206 was pretty noisy, since it was right under the hotel laundry room. In addition, I could hear pretty clearly the shower and the toilet from the other room next to me. Next time, if I go back there, I would reserve one of the back rooms.
- A couple of other minor observations, Charging 20 pesos ( over US $ 6 ) for a bottle of water in the room is a bit over the top. Nowadays, hotels offer a courtesy bottle of water to clients....Other small things like a Kleenex box in the bathroom are missing there as well..
Overall a decent experience , but there is definitely room for improvement!
