As other reviewers have noted, this is a stylish place that although not perfect is a great value for the money. The neighborhood is perfect - walkable, lots of desirable shops and resto-bars nearby. The rooms are very designery, with some odd touches (gravel borders on the bedroom floors, echoey concrete surfaces) that seem to be trying a bit hard. Comfy bed, nice deluxe bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The breakfast buffet downstairs could use a bit of work; quality of the offerings were not as nice as the hotel. But this is just nitpicking. I had a great time and would stay there again.

I have just recently returned from a fantastic week in the amazing city of Buenos Aires. I stayed in a new boutique hotel called Mine Hotel.
This charming hotel made feel at home. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, BUT my favorite part was the restaurant because of Roma the owner of the place. Roma was extremely friendly and helpful with information about Buenos Aires. Not only can you eat divine in this restaurant but you have Roma as a unique resource for everything you made need in Buenos Aires.

I just returned from a stay in Buenos Aires at the Mine Hotel. The hotel is charming and cozy with stylish modern decor. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful with figuring out the city, making dinner reservations, etc. The location of the hotel in Palermo Soho is conveniently located near all the shops, restaurants and bars. The single room we stayed in was on the small side, but it didn't really matter because I wasn't there to sit in my hotel room. If you're looking for a cozy boutique hotel in a great neighborhood, than this is perfect for you.

Some positives but a few negatives as well.

The Mine is a relatively new Boutique hotel in the trendy Palermo Soho neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
I stayed at Mine for a total of 3 nights and 4 days in May. I had a pleasant stay overall there, but unlike some of the previous reviewers, I found a few things that may need improvement there.

Pros -

- Location, Location. The hotel is located in the Hip and trendy Palermo Soho with a lot of good restaurants and fun shops. Only 3 or 4 blocks away is Plaza Serrano with some very interesting funky stores.

- Amenities: The hotel, tastefully decorated, has a very fresh and modern feel to it. The room was comfortable, stylish and very clean with a comfortable beds are very comfortable and great showers Cool and elegant Lounge as well. There is free wireless in the premises.

- Front desk staff are very helpful, efficient and courteous. They will go out of their way to make sure that your requests are met.

-

Cons

Breakfast. the buffet/ breakfast is a disappointment, no imagination, very limited choice of items, very few fruits etc. They could definitely use some variety there. If one is on a carb diet, you will not find much else to eat in the morning.

Noise. One previous reviewer mentioned the noise. I made the same comment to the manager My room 206 was pretty noisy, since it was right under the hotel laundry room. In addition, I could hear pretty clearly the shower and the toilet from the other room next to me. Next time, if I go back there, I would reserve one of the back rooms.

- A couple of other minor observations, Charging 20 pesos ( over US $ 6 ) for a bottle of water in the room is a bit over the top. Nowadays, hotels offer a courtesy bottle of water to clients....Other small things like a Kleenex box in the bathroom are missing there as well..

Overall a decent experience , but there is definitely room for improvement!

Get into this hotel quick! My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here for 6 nights in May. Brilliant staff, fabulous layout, great breakfast, great location, cool decor.....what more do you need.
When I say the staff were brilliant that is an understatement, they were way better than that! They could not do more for a guest , something the big hotels chains often miss.
We just could not fault it - it's a gem.
