my goal and challenge was to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday in ba. since my father recently passed away, i wanted to fill his shoes and make her dream a reality. so here is to the reviewers of trip advisor and to the mine hotel for their attentiveness to my e-mails prior to trip, making it so easy to decide on their hotel. from marcelo, the owner, to dario, nadia, guillermo, ariel, and the best hotel manager, angela, you helped me discover the mine hotel. .......when we pulled up to the hotel and escorted into the lobby, all i could do is describe the mine hotel as a jewelry box in ba. ....located in trendy soho palermo, why would you want to be downtown?, unless you had to be there, afterall, the downtown area closes up at night and you would miss the opportunity to stroll the slick streets of this area and hang out at kool clubs and restaurants and miss some great shopping. from the architecture, to the smell, and ambiance, all of our needs were met. breakfast was very good and the gentle sounds of john lennon permeated the air with a freshness, that made you want an excuse to come down stairs and linger around the lobby and restaurant and talk to other guest about their day. the mine hotel hit dead-on for being a hip boutique oasis. the staff was beyond fantastic and customer service was a priority. angela so many thanks to you. it is because of the staff, i am writting this review. what value can be placed on making us feel so welcome and at home. and what a great value for your money. as for the rooms, ...clean, airy, and the linens were top notch, even down to the embroidered pillow cases. as i mentioned, breakfast was very good and even try the restaurant at night. the chef is well known on tv for her style. so my hat is off to you marcelo, for a job well done and to the staff (go angela go!!) in making my mom's dream come true. finally, don't let one bad review spoil the oasis that is here. they are able to fill the needs of young hipsters to an 80 year young lady. read as many reviews as possible and know a lot of your trip depends on your attitude and essence to relax and enjoy life. jerry from atlanta
