My husband and I stayed at the Mine for one night on our return trip from Antarctica back to the northern hemisphere. We had already stayed in the city center (Broadway Suites - very nice) and this time enjoyed the charm of Palermo. It is close to the zoo, botanical gardens, planatarium, outlets, and other shops. The most memorable service from the front desk (everyone at the front went above and beyond with service for us and everyone else that we saw) was probably that they called in a take-out order for us when we arrived from out delayed flight and allowed us to eat in their dining area at 10 pm. Followed closely was the initiative that they took to book us a car transfer to the airport when they learned we had not yet done so. The car was there and waiting for us at the appointed time. Their dining area is nice and the sitting area comfortable. There is also a computer with internet available for guests. The room was spacious and we just enjoyed our stay.
