My love and I stayed at the Esplendor Palermo in early February between flying into the international airport one morning and out of the domestic the next day. I was able to nab a better rate from somewhere online and spent around 30% less than advertised... perhaps that's why I found the hotel a nice surprise. Great check in, lovely staff, enjoyed our room (although I can agree that the bathrooms are a bit odd), free computer use in the lobby and I must admit the roof-deck is a real gem. I wouldn't want to stay here for a week but for a night or two I was very happy with the experience and would do it again.

We stayed at the Esplendor Palermo because it was a new hotel that just open in October. We figured everything would be to par. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. The decor is lovely and staff is great and their cafe con leche is pretty good. However, the bathroom didn't look finished and the tub flooded a little bit. The rug in the room felt a bit damp, I belive this is due to poor ventilation. Also, I found little nats in the bathroom one day and I think it is do to that. The hotel is a bit over price do to the unfinished touches in the room.

Stayed at the Esplendor Palermo 2 nights after a cruise. Because I booked late, my first choices in Palermo were unavailable, but a couple of the experts on the Buenos Aires forum recommended the Esplendor as a new hotel which I might like.

From start to finish, the staff was great to us. Answered questions, helped us with arrangements, very pleasant.

Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. Restaurant is slow for a la carte items, but tasty. Bar in the evening is quiet - mostly the staff. But very eager to please.

Rooms are large, comfortable and idiosyncratic. The bathroom arrangement is a bit odd - why on earth is the commode so close to the door? However, functioned nicely. Finish quality isn't 5* quality, especially for a brand new property, but perfectly adequate.

Internet wasn't working in my room, but was fast down in the lobby.

I was very pleased with the location, service, comfort and price and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future. If the above sounds negative in the least, it isn't. Just want people to know what to expect so their stay can be a positive one as well.

Stayed at Esplendor Palermo for 5 nights in late November. I would agree with other reviewers in that although the property is decent enough there was something off about this place. The finishes in the room were not great. The room itself was long but not wide and was not completely functional, i.e. there is no stand for your luggage, no dressers for your clothes, and only about 2 or 3 hangers in the closet. The air conditioning worked well and the continental breakfast was okay. The location was good however - halfway between the subway station and all the Palermo restaurants... and the restaurants in Palermo are fantastic. This is definitely not a place for kids.
