I loved this place. It is close to just about everything--the obelisk, Recoleta, the Plaza de Mayo, restaurants, cafes, parks, places to run, buses, the subway, etc. The breakfast is wonderful. You can enjoy the view from your personal patio. The common room has a tv, dvds, stereo system, etc. The wireless is fantastic--I used sykpe many times a day and never had a problem. There is also a computer in the common room for people to use.
But what makes this place REALLY stand-out (and I've stayed at B&B's all over South America) is Paz, the owner. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and at home; she'll help you find your way around the city, give travel advice, etc....she was INCREDIBLY accommodating and considerate. Lorena, who makes breakfast and assists during the day, is also fantastic. Together, they make the place a lot of fun.
This place is also incredibly cozy and clean, and I say this as someone who is ridiculously paranoid about dirt. I actually walked around barefoot, which I almost NEVER do in guest houses, B&Bs, or even 4 star hotels, for that matter! The beds are really comfortable and the sheets are totally white. Even the bathrooms are spotless.
I should also add that I am a grad student and found this place perfect as a research base. Its location (close to buses, the subway, and walkable to most places I needed) is unbeatable. Each bedroom has cozy desks, chairs and shelves and/or nightstands for books. There is coffee. Paz goes out of her way to make sure you have what you need (plug converters, power strips, etc). And did I mention the wireless?
Also, I traveled as a single young woman and I felt very safe in this neighborhood (I was never out alone in the middle of the night or anything, but I had no problem at all walking around by myself early in the morning or late in the evenings).
Though I was in BsAs for research, there were also honeymooners, backpackers, vacationing young professionals, etc. This house (or, more accurately, Paz!) just seems to attract a great group of people; in the evenings people often sit on the porch or in the garden and drink wine and talk for hours. I cannot recommend this place more highly.
