Yira Yira is a discovered treasure for sure!!. Itis a wonderful guest house run by a warm and friendly woman named PAZ. .
The rooms are large and beautiful, and there is a large family sitting area with a TV and a computer for all the guest to use at your convenience.

What makes it beautiful is PAZ and the price. It is convenient to all areas.

Don´t miss staying here if you are budget conscious and enjoy meeting people when travelling.

We were booked into Yira Yira, sight unseen, and were unsure of what to expect when we arrived. And after staying in several hostels and hotels in South America, we can tell you Yira Yira is by far our favorite. No question.

We're a mid-30s American couple, backpacking around South America for the first time. And a couple of times, we've made Yira Yira a kind of "base camp" for our operation. And for good reason.

The guest house itself is perfectly located, as other reviewers have indicated. It's within walking distance to most all of downtown BA, a couple of short blocks to the nearest Subte, and a cheap taxi ride to points beyond. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, elegant place from which you can explore the entire city, you just can't beat Yira Yira, expecially considering the cost.

The rooms are simple, but (as we said) elegant. The beds are so so comfortable. The wirless internet is BLAZING fast. And the Argentine breakfast is terrific.

But what makes it our favorite place is the innkeeper, Paz. She's friendly, funny and very, very helpful. Our best nights were spent sitting in the living room with Paz and other guests, drinking a glass of wine, and sharing stories and lots of laughs.

We can't recommend it highly enough!

(Oh, and by the way... Yira Yira is only a block away from the best pizza house in all of Buenos Aires - "El Cuarito." Another reason to stay there. hehehee)

This property is quite central, which might make it a little noisy during the day but is fine for sleeping at night. Staff quite friendly, Paz in particular. Basic breakfast included. Probably best for younger folks looking for something nicer than traditional hostels. Quick response on inquiries.

Searching for a centrally-located guest house where you can mingle with other world travelers and a wonderful Argentine host? Look no further than the Yira Yira guest house. It is an extremely clean, inexpensive, elegant, comfortable place to stay. The location is a 5 minute walk to Recoleta, a 20 minute walk to downtown, and just a few Subte stops from Palermo. If you are new to Buenos Aires, this is truly a perfect place to have as a base as you explore the city. The owner, Paz, treats her guests like family and serves a wonderful breakfast each morning. I know that I will stay at Yira Yira again on my next visit to Argentina! One note: this is semi-communal living at its finest. If you like meeting new people and sharing a glass of wine with them, you will like Yira Yira. If you're looking for seclusion or a romantic getaway, you would do better to book a hotel room or rent an apartment.

  • Liked — The owner and the central location
  • Disliked — The street can be noisy (but most streets in Buenos Aires are)

We stayed here for 4 nights. The guesthouse is in great location for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff (notably Paz) are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. It's not a five star hotel, and it isn't meant to be, but it's great value for money. We would definitely stay here again.
