The hotel and the staff were exceptional. The loft we had for our time was clean, uniquely decorated, spatious and well equipped. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful from arranging transport, recommending activities/restaurants to being flexible on the timing of their continental breakfast for those who may have a tendency to oversleep.
The only downside was location. Casa Bolivar is located on the EDGE of San Telmo, during the day this wasn't a problem but I would recommend that when departing for a night out or returning be cautious. Wander a 2/3 blocks in the wrong direction and the neighborhood changes drastically (as was confirmed by a few taxi drivers asking us why were in this neighborhood and recommending that we avoid it).

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at Casa Bolivar in the Vintage loft, which is an enormous open plan split level apartment with kitchen. Casa Bolivar is on the edge of San Telmo and so a bit cheaper than other places such as The Cocker, where we stayed next (we booked at short notice and no-one had a room for the whole stay). The decor is good (although some of the others look cooler in my opinion) and the apartment was clean and well-equipped. The owners/staff (some French guys) were friendly and helpful without being overbearing and breakfast was fine but nothing exceptional - Continental. The reason to stay here really is the space and the fact that it's reasonably quiet, although you do get some really noisy buses in the City so take some earplugs.

We simply LOVED our time at Casa Bolivar. Perfection. My partner and I came to Argentina for our honeymoon and started it off right in Buenos Aires, staying at Casa Bolivar for nine nights. Right from the moment we were met at the airport we felt at home. The hotel is run by the most wonderful people. They are classy, kind, incredibly helpful and totally respectful of what their guests need and want.

Our loft apartment was tastefully decorated in true Argentinian decor with comfortable queen bed and marble bathroom. Very clean, with a fully equiped kitchenette.

The B&B is in San Telmo, which was our favourite neighbourhood in Beunos Aires, full of character and energy. Don't miss the Sunday fair.

Highly recommend Casa Bolivar, and we hope to return one day! Loved Argentina!

My wife and I just enjoyed 4 nights at Casa Bolivar. The staff were very accessible, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Loft Tango Room: a quiet split-level room with a generous sitting area and kitchenette. The bed was firm and comfy. Breakfast at the hotel was splendid and our room was tidied and bed made up daily.
We liked the San Telmo neighborhood location. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway and a block away from Parque Lezama, which has a number of restaurants and cafes in its vicinity, plus loads of taxis, should you prefer them.

I wisely made Casa Bolivar my home in Buenos Aires for my three-week travels. One often magines a B&B as a private home .
Casa Bolivar is a hotel-styled B&B.Quiet,excellet coffee,Internet ,cellphone,A/C, good food..alas,they wouldn't adopt me!!
Most travellers to a strange land are very concerned about: safety, location and "what if...". All three af those are well-covered at Casa Bolivar. Located in historic San Telmo ,plentiful restaurants, bakeries (yes, you must), shops, laundries and excellent bus ,taxi service.I and everyone I met in this most popular inn agreed, the management was unbelievable. That's why I called it my home away from home.Questions, queries, fears, problems???I saw how they so graciously handled and solved so many concerns of their guests.

  • Liked — The management, clean, quit, location ,amenities
  • Disliked — It would depend on each traveller's expectations!1 I got more than I had expected!!
