“Food Great, Cabaret, but if you don't drink..pricey.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

The dinner was very good, service was also very good ...we saw wine and champagne flowing...however, we don't drink so that the price was a bit high. There is a live band, a small theatre with a stage, good dancing and singing. The experience was good. It is a cabaret style theatre where there are other large productions or outside shows. It was a nice way to be exposed to several types of tango dances.

“Excellent performance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Excellent performance, impressive singer and overall a great experience. The place is a bit small and stuffy, chairs no so comfortable - but overall its a great show. Given its not so big the experience is quite personal. If you want the typical large auditorium style show this isn't the place to go. If you're looking for something more intimate this is a great place.

“What a show!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Despite what we at first thought was an expensive price, the total experience was well worth it. From the time your personal chauffeur picks you up from your hotel (and more important later drops you back after the show) through the three course dinner with champagne and wines (pity we are not drinkers!) till the highly professional dancers and musicians sang and danced...we were mesmerized. The decor in the ladies room in the fabulous Faena Hotel was another mind boggler.

“enthralling cabaret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

at around USD300/pax, this is a pricey night out!
includes a nice 3-course dinner followed by a magical tango performance.
held in the hotel that's very much out-there in esthetics, a hotel that's part-playboy mansion, part haunted house.

non-flash photography is permitted, but not video-taping. several patrons were stopped by staff who appeared to be taking videos.

that evening we got lucky and were graced by the legendary Carlos Copello... possibly the grandmaster of tango. he seldom shows up, as he runs his own tango school. in his 70s, he put all other junior dancers to near-mediocrity as soon as he came on stage, and led his female in the dance with his fingers on her back. it was evident that he was a well-revered for his mastery and experience.

it was very different from the other tango shows you might be recommended, for those are more broadway types, but this is more intimate, and definitely classier. try and snag the front rows for a better view.

this show as 1.5hrs too short as i've enjoyed myself too much!
