I stayed at Hotel Vain for three nights just a week after they opened. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood, about a 5 min. walk from the subway (Plaza Italia, Subte Linea D). The neighborhood, Palermo, has some very memorable restaurants (the online restaurant guide to Buenos Aires (guiaoleo) lists over 700 for this neighborhood). The Hotel’s staff will graciously assist you in finding something to your taste from French, to Japanese, to Norwegian fare. This is also a great neighborhood for shopping with boutiques featuring unique clothing and artwork.
The hotel itself has been beautifully renovated in a modern motif, maintaining beautiful original details, pulling the new and the old together in a sleek, airy, and sophisticated atmosphere. The rooms are of good size with high ceilings and French doors that open on to small balconies. There is a small dining area on the entrance level where breakfast is served. There is also a common room and roof deck on the top level to enjoy the weather, watch TV or use the free internet connection. Just a really beautiful place to relax after touring a great city.
Great location, staff, and a beautiful building. I would highly recommend it.
