We stayed at Rick's Place for about 12 days during Nov 2007. It is probably the best Bed & Breakfast I have ever stayed in -- and I have traveled extensively through South America (Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica) and Europe! The location of Rick's Place (San Thelmo) is very central, close to many restaurants, city bus stops and the Subte (about 4 blocks), the rooms are fantastic, breakfasts faboulous and John (the owner) is the nicest, kindest and the most helpful and generous host. I absolutely cannot recommend it enough...

We only found Rick's Place ([--]) by accident - and it was a lucky one! The location is great - right on San Telmo's main street - walking distance (or short taxi rides) to the main sights and plenty of bars, restaurants, galleries etc on the doorstep. John, the owner, is a generous and genial host who makes everyone feel very much at home. The rooms are lovely and luxurious, the breakfast outstanding, and there's even a hot-tub on the roof terrace and wireless internet too. This is a beautiful, and very friendly and welcoming, place to stay in the heart of Buenos Aires.
