A lovely and friendly place to stay for vacations. The beautiful garden is a place to relax but also to meet other people from all the corner of the world. The spirit of the house, lady Mary, has the great talent to make you feel at home at the hotel. Besides she provides you with a delicious breakfast every morning! The office works effectiv and reliable helping you in all your questions. The owners convince themselves personally of your wellbeing. I have no hasitation to recommend this hotel to any person wanting to discover BsAs..no matter if in business, leisure, tango, culture.....

We stayed 4 weeks in November 2008 at Caseron Porteno. It is a great place for tangolovers. Free tangolessons every day and a fine dance studio.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and the athemosphere is very cozy.
Spotles clean rooms. Great breakfast.
Palermo is a very nice and quiet neighbourhood with fine and cheap resturants. It is easy to get downtown by the nearby subway.
We are looking forward for another 4 weeks in November 2009.

We spent a month at Caseron with an ever changing variety of visitors from around the world in surroundings that were relaxed, friendly and supported by the owners and staff; with the added bonus of daily tango classes. From this 'family' home we were able to go out and live and experience so much of Buenos Aires and meet so many, many of the open and approachable people who live in that city. We felt comfortable and fitted into the Buenos Aires way of things; the people, the sounds, the sights, the feel of the place. Not everything was perfect, but life is not like that; Buenos Aires and Caseron Porteno suited us, we cant wait to get back.

The staff is wonderful, the true feeling of relaxation takes place here. The rooms are very well kept and there is free internet and a great backyard and tango studio. Every night other than wed and sundays they have free tango lessons. Daniel is the owner and he is great, he speaks great english and helps you out with anything you need. The location is great, right next to Subte D (Olleros and Mt. Caz stops) Watch out for fake money, we got 100 pesos from taxi drivers. When you move the bill around, look closely at the number in the corner it should change from green to blue in the light. Great stay would go back again in a second.

This place is a real gem. I stayed there for two weeks and a number of friends have too. The place has so many pluses it's difficult to begin. The staff are wonderful and really go out of their way to help you. Caseron is a magnet for very interesting people. If you're travelling alone, have no worries about being in some isolated hotel. They have excellent tango teachers as well giving classes there each night. While the location isn't downtown and close to the milongas, it doesn't matter. Taxis are cheap. The neighborhood is a very upscale one. You're also very close to the subway line for convenience. It's a wonderful place and the kind of place people come back to as well. It really contributes to a positive experience of Buenos Aires.

This guest house was a wonderful place to stay. Located in the Palermo neighborhood, it is a nice retreat within the city.

It has 10 rooms, some with shared baths, lounge, several outside seating areas, free access to PC and internet, and it's own small tango studio. Breakfast is included and provided and was wonderfully prepared by Maria who lives on site.

If you love tango, this is a great place to meet other tangueros for a free daily lesson provided by different teachers each day except Sunday. There is a relaxing and friendly vibe and the layout of the house makes it easy to meet other guests while staying there. The owners are very hospitable and speak Spanish and English.

The guest house is located in the northernmost part of Palermo, and one can easily walk through the neighborhood. However, to get to other areas like San Telmo and downtown, take the Subte, which is only a few blocks away.

Highly recommended and I will definitely stay there again when I return!

  • Liked — Large, spacious rooms. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Great place to meet people.
  • Disliked — There is a primary school located next door. That and street noise can get loud during the day at times.
