Thank you to Lorena, Andrea and Norma!

We stayed at Casa Palermitano for a week or so at the end of June 2009.

It was great not only to have access to the kitchen at all hours, and to be able to warm a bottle in the middle of the night, but also to be able to practice our limited Spanish.

As we travelled with our son of 17 months, we needed a solution for a bath for him, and Lorena bought a basin for him, in which he could have a bath in our shower . Initially he did not want to get in, but at the end of the week, he was pointing to it and saying it was his "bath"!

Our son soon took over Norma's kitchen in the mornings and got everyone to say "ta-ta" as we left for the day. No big surprise that he said "hola!" back to Norma first, at the end of the week!

Thank you also for all the help with finding restaurants, which made for a fuller experience of Buenos Aires.

We hope to see Lorena and Andrea in Stellenbosch soon !

A very quiet and relaxing B&B, centrally located for all the sights of BA. Lorena and Andrea are great hosts who are very friendly and up for a laugh. They take time out for a chat , make you feel welcome & nothing is too much trouble (Lorena even arranged laundry for us which was a godsend.)

Casa Palermitano is located right in the heart of Palermo Soho...its a great neighborhood and its close to all. Our cab rides home were never more than $2-3 US dollars between two of us. We arrived and were greeted by Lorena and Lorena...they were great hosts! Our cab driver charged us a flat fee from the airport (we were in a metered taxi) and Lorena scolded the driver for trying to cheat us. From there, Lorena helped us with our luggage and showed us to a large 4 bed two level room - there was only two of us. Needless to say, we had plenty of room and was extremely happy with our stay. Breakfast was cooked to order and Norma stayed past the regular breakfast serving hours to cook us food because we were late-risers. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Casa Palermitano and will recommend this bed and breakfast to all of my friends and family!

I traveled to BA with my boyfriend recently and we can not say enough nice things about Casa Palermitano. The owner, Lorena, is beyond fantastic (she was incredibly helpful and fun to talk to.) She set us up to see a futbol game (soooo much fun) and gave us wonderful recommendations for local markets, how to get places, how much time to leave for travel, and absolutely everything else. She even changed our money to small change (impossible to do in many places in BA) when we wanted to take the bus. The house has beautiful tall ceilings and because we took a few days to travel to Mendoza, we came back and got to experience two different rooms. The breakfast was fantastic with eggs cooked fresh to order. We would love to visit Lorena and friends in Iguazu falls in the coming years -- their reputation for great bed and breakfasts will surely follow them to a new home :)

We stayed at the Casa Palermitano hotel for about seven nights during August / September 2008. It is a beautiful, small hotel in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires and has the feeling of a private house. There are five bedrooms, each of them wonderfully different but all with high ceilings and the most handsome tall doorframes and doors. All the bedrooms are ensuite. The breakfast room – just like a family dining room – has one table, shared by all the guests. The breakfasts were delicious. There is also an attractive salon with internet facilities.

Presiding over the hotel is Lorena, a wonderfully efficient and kind-hearted owner manager who, together with her equally remarkable colleagues Andrea and Norma, manages to create the special atmosphere that gives the hotel such charm. The fourth member of the team is Lucas the parrot who shares Lorena’s office. It really is a very charming hotel – the perfect sanctuary to which to return at the end of a long day in the excitement of the city.

Our visit to Buenos Aires was greatly enhanced by staying at the Casa Palermitano and when disaster struck – a street robbery of a bag containing passport, credit cards and other essentials – Lorena and her colleagues were helpful and solicitous beyond the call of duty. They did everything they could to assist both in practical terms and in helping to restore morale.

If ever we return to Buenos Aires we will stay at the Casa Palermitano. It is exactly the kind of small, beautiful and friendly hotel that one dreams of finding when travelling and we have the happiest memories of our stay there.
