When I search TripAdvisor for hotels, I rely almost exclusively on reviews. That’s how I found Casa Palermitano. I had read every single review. Based on our 2-week stay there recently, I know the very positive reviews were absolutely well-founded. I highly recommend readers make their reservations early.

Besides the extremely modest price and good location close to public transportation and a short walk to the hip Palermo shopping and restaurant areas, we found Casa Palermitano very well-maintained, comfortable and welcoming. Our particular room was spacious and clean, with a good bed, great shower and daylight on two sides. Breakfasts were delicious and filling, with hot coffee, tea, fabulous fresh orange juice and fruit, cereal, cheeses, meats and a variety of tasty pastries generously available. Norma, the friendly cook, was always ready to prepare eggs to order. The airy breakfast room was also a great place to meet fellow travelers. A computer in a living area helped keep us in touch with the rest of the world, and a small patio provided a great place to wind down over drinks at the end of a hard day of touring.

Best of all, though, were our always friendly and helpful hosts, Lorena and Andrea, always cheerful and hardworking women who provided us with assistance whenever we asked. Lorena’s tango show and neighborhood fair recommendations exceeded our expectations, and their restaurant tips were unfailingly accurate. Overall, we felt well-cared for by our hostesses, and feel our first visit to this beautiful city was greatly enhanced by our experience with Lorena, Andrea and Norma and their delightful abode. We’d definitely stay again and are telling our friends not to miss it.

Hola Lorena & Andrea thank you for a fantastic holiday.

We randomly chose this B&B through another website and found the reviews here after we had booked. I thank my lucky stars for the day I did. We stayed 4 nights at the start of our holiday and 6 nights at the end.

Rooms are brightly decorated, clean and very comfortable. Air conditioned if required - very effective it was too.

The breakfast was nice, fruit, cereal, eggs, gorgeous orange juice, coffee, tea - what more could you want ;-)

Lorena and Andrea helped with suggestions and bookings which meant we packed our time in BA.

Location was fine, it is a bit of a hoof to the main sites but only 10 minutes or less to 2 subte lines and various buses so we were happy.

We both agreed it was our best holiday ever and that is thanks to the two hotels we used. We wish them the best for the future, raising a glass of whisky.

We stayed at Casa Palermitano at the end of our 3 week holiday in Argentina. We had read great things on Trip Advisor and were not disapointed.

Lorena and Andrea are great fun and were really, really helpful in answering any queries we had about getting around BA and were especially helpful in sorting out our ferry booking to Colonia.

The room itself was very cool and was kept spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were lovely and varied each day.

We felt at home straight away and that feeling stayed the same throughout our stay.

Thanks for helping to make our time in Buenos Aries so memorable!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Palermitano during our two-week anniversary trip to Argentina and we cannot recommend a better place to stay in Buenos Aires. From the moment we arrived, Lorena and Andrea made us feel like we were a part of the family and could not have been more hospitable.

The house is near one of the main avenues in the Palermo Viejo section of town and you are extremely close to many attractions. It is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The open air porch in the back was a fantastic place to drink some wine in the early evening before dinner. The breakfast room was great and the long hours to choose from were helpful when my husband overslept. Breakfast each morning was a wide array of pastries, meats and cheeses, cereals, fruits, fresh-sqeezed orange juice and eggs on request (the only place where we stayed in Argentina that had this option!) Lorena, Andrea, and Norma were always there and we had some great conversations with them before starting out on our day.

My husband and I are from New York City so we are used to walking and were given expert directions and suggestions each morning by Lorena and Andrea. If we wanted to use a cab, Lorena gladly called and negotiated the price beforehand for us. She also made reservations for us for our anniversary dinner at a fantastic restaurant in the neighborhood and always had the best suggestions for lunch or dinner.

During our trip, we went to Mendoza and Iguazu as well, but traveled to both through BA so we had a couple of days where we had about 8 hours between our trips. What saved us from having to haul all of our luggage around the city with us was Lorena offering to have us store our luggage there and have Casa Palermitano be our homebase for the entire two-week vacation. It was a great relief to us and I honestly don't know what we would have done if she had not been so nice.

All in all, my husband and I cannot say enough about Casa Palermitano along with Lorena, Andrea and Norma. They made our stay in Buenos Aires an absolute joy and we hope to keep in touch with them for many years to come.

I had arrived on October 20th for 3 nights. Lorena was very helpful during the reservation process and it did not stop there. Andrea attended to me on arrival as Lorena had a slight cold. She took me through a tour of the city with a map that she had provided to me as well, pointed out how to use the public transportation (the metro, buses, etc.. use it it fun, cheap, and fast ) and ensured that I had all my questions answered and more. Time went by quickly and I had enjoyed my stay here very much. Next day Lorena was up and around and her warmth showed even though I knew she was a bit under the weather. Breakfast was great and Norma was on top of things too. I had asked if they had any yougurt for breakfast one day and the next day they had a nice suprise for me.. yup.. yougurt. The Breakfast Room was a nice way to start the morning with fellow travelers telling their tales and the living room had a "banda ancha" wide band internet terminal with skype that was a nice plus. All in all a very nice stay and my room and bathroom were spotless. Would I stay here again yes.. The location will make you feel like you are a true Porteno.. And for Lucas, the dude is cool..
