We spent 4 nights here with our 3 teenagers at the beginning of our trip around Argentina and we loved every minute. The fantastic value rooms are simple and clean - just what you need as a base for exploring BA. But as has been said before it is really the owners Lorena and Andrea (and parrot Lucca) who make this b & b such a joy. They go out of their way to be helpful; organising a mini van to collect us from the airport when we arrived from London, football tickets and transport (even though this was at the end of our holiday when we were staying elsewhere); even raiding their own purses for small coins which are so hard to come by in Argentina so that we could make a bus trip with the correct change. And, knowing that we were leaving before their normal breakfast times one day, they went out the night before to get pastries and bread for us so that we would have something to eat before we left. The breakfasts are delicious - churros, croissants, bread, dulce de leche and jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and fruit etc.
We found the location just fine for us. A few blocks from the main buzz of Palermo Viejo, an easy walk back at night to walk off the huge suppers we ate. No problem to get a bus downtown, although taxis are plentiful and very cheap. We always felt safe in the area, even at night.
It was lovely to be greeted by such cheerful, genuinely friendly people and it made our stay there very special. If you want a simple place, great value, in a good area, and with lovely hosts, we cannot recommend it highly enough. We'd stay there again.

We had a great 4 night stay in late march. Lorena and her staff are eager and able to help with taxi rides, advice on touring, restaurants and tango shows. The breakfasts of fresh fruits, cakes and coffee (also mate, if you want) are friendly encounters where you can meet fellow guests and learn about BA. The rooms and public areas are bright, clean and make one feel at home away from home. Thanks again Lorena.

We've stayed twice at Casa Palermitano it's great value for the capital and it's in the Palermo area with loads of great bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean, high ceilings and good bathrooms. Each has a TV and aircon/heating. The owner Lorena is lovely and the breakfasts are really good. Only downside was we didn't ask for a matrimonial the second time we stayed and ended up with a twin room which wasn't ideal so specify what you want! I'd definitely stay there again.

I agree with the other recent reviews, especially the favorable comments about Lorena. The only additions I would include is (1) that Casa Palermitano is located in a quiet neighborhood away from the central city but is an inexpensive cab ride to the central downtown. No need to learn the subway, and (2) this B&B is clean but basic, but it does come with a conceirage service - Lorena

We spent a week at Palermitano in March as our first stop on a long South American trip. Lorena (and Lucas) were really helpful in getting us settled. The room was beautiful, the shared spaces excellent and the facilities perfect. Breakfast was a real treat, by far the best we have had in Argentina, to date we have stayed in 6 different places. Norma serves up a selection of pastries, fresh fruit, breads, real juice and good coffee. It was easy to get down to Plaza de Mayo (no 29 bus), Micro Centre (99), Retiro (106). We walked everywhere else, about 20 mins to get to Palermo Soho and the general area is pleasent. Highly recommeded
