We spent a week at Palermitano in March as our first stop on a long South American trip. Lorena (and Lucas) were really helpful in getting us settled. The room was beautiful, the shared spaces excellent and the facilities perfect. Breakfast was a real treat, by far the best we have had in Argentina, to date we have stayed in 6 different places. Norma serves up a selection of pastries, fresh fruit, breads, real juice and good coffee. It was easy to get down to Plaza de Mayo (no 29 bus), Micro Centre (99), Retiro (106). We walked everywhere else, about 20 mins to get to Palermo Soho and the general area is pleasent. Highly recommeded

We found Casa Palermitano on TripAdvisor, and had several email communications with Lorena before leaving the U.S. We'd never been to South America before. Lorena is truly incredible! She answered all our questions beforehand and dealt with several changes of itinerary with charm and grace. The BEST part, though, was getting to Buenos Aires and actually meeting Lorena in person!
The B&B itself is wonderful. Charming property, lovely rooms, felt like the real Argentina. But EVEN better is the wonderful warmth, hospitality and helpfulness offered by Lorena and her staff at every turn. She helped us in so many ways, from finding great places to visit, to serving great food, to helping us find a great cab driver/tour guide (Jorge - email me for details! He is THE BEST EVER!)
Lorena even stored our luggage (lots of it! We'd been on a long cruise) while we went to Iguazu Falls.
I can't recommend this B&B or this owner highly enough. You will love it here. Simple, clean, comfortable, welcoming, and utterly fantastic!!!

We stayed in Casa Palermitano in November '07. Our first trip to Buenos Aires and the best place we could have chosen.

We got such a warm welcome, and a really relaxed one. Gina and the team are there as much or as little as you need them. They looked after my boyfriends jacket when he left it there and kept it safe while we travelled North. When we went to pick it up one morning we even got breakfast (and weren't staying there with them at the time!). I can't eat dairy and they were the only place we stayed in the whole of Argentina that got me soya milk in.

It is a very chilled out & relaxed place. Lovely vibe and amazing value for money. It was one of the best breakfasts we had throughout our trip around the country. Loved the freshly squeezed OJ every morning.

Heartily recommend to anyone.

When we got there, our first time ever in Argentina, it was great to be welcomed by Lorena! Even my 11 years old son was charmed by the place (he was specially fond of Lucas, the parrot!).
Andrea, Lorena and Norma were very helpful, and gave us great advices to enjoy the city.
Although we only dropped by for a night between several trips away in other parts of Argentina, it was like coming back home each time.
No problem for leaving bags when going away to Ushuaia, or Iguazu.
And the location is just great: you can walk to Palermo Soho from there, or catch a bus to downtown (MicroCentro).
We felt comfortable, at home, and it was almost like living like Buenos Aires' inhabitants.
Even our 5.00am flights weren't a problem to catch: Lorena would get up for us at 4.00am to call a cab!!
We do hope the future will bring us the opportunity to stay in Palermitano again, and give us time to discover what we couldn't see of Buenos Aires.

We stayed at Casa Palermitano for the first part of our trip and loved it! I would definitely recommend it; very clean, modest decor, friendly service and yummy breakfast. Lorena was very accommodating, offering to hold our bags while we went to Bariloche and gave us great advise for our travels. I would stay there again!
