We stayed at Casa Palermitano for the first part of our trip and loved it! I would definitely recommend it; very clean, modest decor, friendly service and yummy breakfast. Lorena was very accommodating, offering to hold our bags while we went to Bariloche and gave us great advise for our travels. I would stay there again!

We stayed at Casa Palermitano when we arrived in Buenos Aires and again just before leaving. Lorena and Andrea were wonderful hosts... making every effort to ensure we had a comfortable stay. They helped us book bus tickets, find hotels in other cities and one night when they were full, found us a bed with a friend.
The Casa is cozy, clean and in a convenient location. Breakfast was lovely, and included in the price which was very fair for the swish Palermo location.
I enjoyed every aspect of my stay with Lorena and Andrea. They are extraordinary hosts!

Lorena and Andrea were fantastic hosts - I stayed there for 8 nights and then for my final night before going on to Mendoza. They did everything for me, booked trips, booked buses, made phone calls, nothing was too much trouble. Gave me lots of advice on what to see and where to go - they made my time in BA a truly wonderful experience and I will never forget their hospitality to me. Thank you so much. My room was gorgeous and wonderful bathroom - great breakfast and with a smile!! Thanks Norma. Bridget will not forget you all. Hope to stay with you again sometime.

Stayed for one night. When being dropped off by taxi it was not obviously a B&B but Lorena came down and welcomed us quickly. We were shown to our room which was fairly basic but clean. The hot water took a little time to come through but was of a good pressure and very welcome after a long day's travelling when it materialized. We were given twin beds, which were comfortable and there was AC if needed and a TV in the room. High-speed internet access was free and there was a large room for relaxing in.
We left early the next morning (6.15 am) and just felt that it would have been nice to have been offered a cup of coffee before our departure. Otherwise no complaints and we can only comment on what good value the place is for its location in BA.

  • Liked — Good Value
  • Disliked — No breakfast offered when departing early.

Management response from LorenaBA, Owner
(Management representative)
Feb 12, 2008
Hi,

You have arrived from a flight from Bariloche very late, I gave you the room and I remember that I showed you the paper with the rules of the house.

In general, when is very early most all the passengers don't take nothing because they prefer to sleep. In the rules of the house is specified that you have to advise us the day before if you want to take something.

For me it was clear that you have read it, because you don't ask for it.

It was a misunderstanding, so we are sorry that you haven't had it.

Thanks for your comments we will do arrangements in our organization to avoid this situation in the future.

We just spent 5 days here and were very pleased with the hospitality and helpfulness of the owners and staff. They always went out of their way to accomodate us and were a tremendous wealth of information about the city and its sites. We always were just a short taxi ride from anywhere we wanted to visit. If you enjoy walking you are a 15 minute stroll to Palermo Viejo and a grest restaurant district and the area is very safe. We walked back from our restaurants almost every night and never had a problem or felt the least bit uncomfortable. It was a great way to work off dinner and stop for a gelato. All the rooms are high ceilinged, very clean, neat, with their own bathrooms and well air conditioned. The breakfasts were wonderful, fresh juice, delicious pastries and much more. This is not a Ramada/Holiday Inn etc., but it is a great place to stay and get a better feel for the city and its inhabitants. If you don't want the typical sterile room and bland atmosphere this is a great place with a wonderful host.
