This is a small boutique hotel located in the Canitas section of Buenos Aires, right next to Palermo. I stayed here in October, 2007, so it was a repeat visit.
This is the best place I have stayed in Buenos Aires, and the stay met and exceeded my expectations. The hotel appeared to be further upgraded from the last stay, with new decorative art and improvement in the room.
We rented the Luxury type room for $135 US, which was upstairs facing into the courtyard. The room has either one queen bed or twin twins depending on your needs. The room was very clean and well maintained. It was very comfortable and had A/C, small desk, shelves and storage, safe for valuables, phone, cable TV, and good lighting. The bathroom is small, but has a nice shower, robes, slipper, mini-bidet, and lots of soaps and shampoos.
The lobby area is cute and has a hip wine bar and couch area. Mates and bombijas are on displays and there is a large screen TV. Next to this is the comfortable breakfast area.
Breakfast was more than adequate. It included medialunas rolls, bread, fruit salad, jam, coffee, tea, ham, cheese, orange juice, yoghurt, and cereals. Two employees were there to tend to breakfast needs, and they will also make you eggs on request.
The small courtyard is a refreshing little oasis in the city, with sculptures, a hammocks, chairs, etc. It appeared to have been updated since last year with some new art.
The high point of this facility is it's service....the staff bends over backwards to help the traveler. They took care of taxi arrangements, luggage storage, answering any type of question enthusiastically, and generally being available to make your stay very enjoyable.
Overall, I can't say enough about this hotel. The location is great and not more than 15 minutes from all sights in BA. It is on a relatively quiet street and there is great access to good restaurants just around the corner.
