My wife found Posada Palermo B&B whilst vigorously searching the extensive Buenos Aires’s accommodation options. We are generally fans of the Bed & Breakfast style, and wanted to find somewhere that provided both privacy and a homely feel for our six days in Buenos Aires. We also wanted to stay in Palermo, which judging by many good reviews (especially from a culinary prospective) was an ideal location for a base.
Well, how happy were we. On arriving quite early on our first morning (our first ever hours in South America) we were greeted by the lovely Viviana and her well decorated, clean, safe and comfortable home. Since check-in was not till later, Viviana allowed us to put our luggage to one side for safe keeping and invited us to join her for breakfast. What a good start!
From then on, our stay was perfect. We were well looked after by Alejandro, the Manager, whom provided us with a great insight in to the Argentine way of life, and gave us plenty of advise regarding places to visit, and restaurants to eat from. Nothing was a chore. He even walked us to the closest laundry, and help translate our specific washing requirements (lavar si, secar no!).
Even though we learnt Spanish for the trip, both Vivian and Alejandro speak good English, but are more than happy to help you practice.
Palermo is within walking distance to everything, including Recoleta and Centro. If you are not up to walking everywhere, then Posada Palermo will book a taxi for you (the safest way).
If, and when, we return to Buenos Aires, we will without doubt be retuning to Posada Palermo B&B.
Oh, by the way, the breakfast is the best we have ever had anywhere in the world. What you see on their webiste is the real deal! Ducle leche, y pan tostado! Yum!
