selected this place from several listed - it was an excellent choise. The hosts were great in telling us which buses to take to get to our locations. Easy walking distance to excellent restaurants. some right around the block. quiet and peaceful sleeping. could not have asked for a better place to stay - and the price was very very reasonable - would definately stay again.

We stayed here in October 2007 and enjoyed our stay with Martha and family very much. She made us feel like part of the family. One night her husband and sons even cook empanadas for us.

On our first night in BA she was overbooked and put us up at a neighbor's house at a reduced rate. Also when we stayed at another B&B and that one proved to be a disaster, she made room for us for several days. The breakfast was typical and lots of it. We were also close to many fine resturants and the buses. Martha gave us a handmade gift when we left.

The B&B was very clean and spacious and we would highly recommend it.

We just got back from a 10 day stay in Argentina. I booked our B&B reservations online and was just guessing about location and condition of the B&B. Well, it turned out to be a great location, within walking distance to all the major areas. Some of the best restaurants are in Palermo Viejo. Our room was very spacious and had a window opening to a little courtyard. The ceilings were amazing...20ft? The furnishings were sparce, but definitely adequate. The family that runs the B&B were very friendly and helpful booking our taxis and reservations (a good little tango show at "Cafe Homero", close by). Fortunately Marta's son, Fredrico, (I think) spoke English pretty well as the rest of the family didn't (our Spanish is almost nonexistant.) The breakfast was okay, just sweets, but the coffee was good! The best part was the price, $45.00 for a double room with bath. The air conditioning worked well (it was very hot) and the hot water always was plentiful for our daily shower. We thought it was a bargain!

When I think of my first of hopefully many trips to Buenos Aires, first of all the friendliest B&B I ever stayed at comes to my mind: Marta and her family have the gift to make visitors feel most welcome, and they themselves are the best introduction to this wonderful city: open to strangers, sharing their culture - and Marta's husband is a real philosopher, one can learn more from him than from any book, if you are interested in really learning something about argentinian culture.
If you want luxury, go to the Hilton. If you want an argentinian experience, with good service, stay at this place -
I intended to stay just for two nights - and stayed two weeks!
