Krista is located in a fantastic midpoint between Palermo Soho (shopping) and Palermo Hollywood (eating). It's easy to walk between the two on Honduas and there are also plenty of taxis running around to flag down.

The hotel is one of those cool buildings you see with a small, nondescript front that just extends further and further through various courtyards and rooms. It's easy to imagine a wealthy family living here 100 years ago. Rooms are a good blend of antique and modern as shown on the website. They all seem to open to one of the courtyards, but unfortunately do not have individual temperature controls. Our room was fine, but the our friends' was blazing hot.

Breakfast was pretty standard and the whole place was very low-key in comparison to some of the other Palermo hotels with pools and resto-bars.

A beautiful home, which was beautifully restored.
It is integrated into the equally beautiful Palermo neighborhood.
Rooms were attractive; service was very courteous and professional. Finally, Breakfasts were very indulgent.
I would not hesitate to reccommend it !!

Krista is beautifully restored and perflectly placed. We weren't quite sure what to expect when the taxi stopped that afternoon on the sleepy, non-descript block. Inside, we found high ceilings rimmed with crown molding, stained glass, wainscoating and marble flooring. We followed the path of arched doorways and patios to our lovely rear room that was comfortable and quiet. Now we're thinking great place, so so location.

That evening we discovered Krista is also well located. This neighborhood is very convenient for restaurants of all types, bars and just walking around. Since dinner is late in BA, it's great to be able to find lots of dining options close to home and have the option to walk. By day, Palermo is a great place to shop the new designers and trends.

The staff at Krista is very helpful. They were great about pointing us in the right direction or suggesting things to see and do. We considered an apartment in Recoletta. We were glad we didn't do that. It was nice to have people to talk to and it would be hard to beat the aesthetics at Krista. It is convenient to the subway and easy to travel to other neighborhoods and sights.

Request a room in the back, number 8 or 7 for quiet and access to the most private patio.

We stayed for 2 nights at the start of November and loved the hotel and the neighbourhood.

The building itself was beautiful inside and our room simple with a gorgeous bathroom. The neighbourhood felt like a trendy, interesting area - and, for us, made the hotel a far better choice than the standard Hilton in the centre of the city (ie in that it could be any city...)

I hadnt booked a hotel for the next part of the trip and the lady on the desk was incredibly helpful and called about 10 places until we managed to get a room.

Highly recommended.

We couldn't have asked for more comfortable, beautiful accommodations in Palermo. I was originally concerned about the size of the hotel, since I'm uncomfortable in B&B type accommodations (hate feeling like I'm staying in someone's house!). But the Krista provided great privacy and was intimate without being uncomfortable.

The hotel itself is impeccably restored. The series of courtyards, stained glass entryways and skylights, provide a unique, authentic atmosphere, and we loved how our room (#7) had giant windows overlooking an outdoor patio at the back of the hotel.

The bedding and bed were new and as comfortable as a Westin

We originally were going to stay at Home, which is right around the corner, but they were booked. We ended up going to Home for a drink by their pool one day, and were very happy we stumbled upon the Krista instead. Home is ultra slick and cool, but honestly could very well be in SoHo in NYC, where we live, which kinda defeats the purpose of leaving the country!
