We stayed at Five Cool Rooms at the end of February and loved it. We had the biggest room in the house with our own jacuzzi bath, room 201. It was enormous. We'd been trekking around for Patagonia for two weeks and it was the perfect place to relax.

There's a gorgeous hot tub on the roof terrace which no one seems to use which is a huge shame. We were in there most days.

Everyone talks about the staff in Five as being helpful. I'd say that this is very true. We wanted to bring a painting back to the UK and they helped us to sort this out with our airline. The staff are not at all pushy and forceful which at first made us think they were quite unfriendly. This isn't the case at all. I think they just respect their guests' privacy enough not to be too in-your-face. If you ask them for anything, they will help you out immediately.

My big tip would be staff restaurant tips - much better than any guidebook. We particularly loved the tips as they showed us places with few tourists, for us Londoners it's pretty cool to be able to avoid the tourists for a while.

Maybe the rooms could do with a paint, especially the bathrooms. And the guys on reception weren't as friendly as the girls but neither of those points were so bad. We had a brilliant time at Five and can't wait to go back.

In all my travels this is the first time I am so enthusiastic about a hotel that I wanted to take the time to write a review.
I spent 8 nights at this beautifully designed, hospitable oasis in a perfect location.
I had room number 210, on the second floor, with a little balcony facing the street and loved it.
While the design is beautiful, it is really the staff that makes this gem wonderful. Each and every one of the young, intelligent, knowledgable, caring employees went out of his/her way to make me feel welcome, at home, and provided services way above and beyond the call of duty.
They even helped my boyfriend (who contacted them from the US) arrange for a bouquet of flowers to appear in my room on Valentine's Day.
After I left the hotel to travel throughout Argentina , and was stranded in an airport, I contacted the staff who tried to help me resolve the problem.
For a staff that makes one feel like family (a family one would choose), fantastic location, great space and design, I give Five Cool Rooms five cool stars.

The 5 Cool Rooms hotel was great. Believe the reviews. The location was great. We walked around the area which had great shops and restaurants. There was also a metro stop closeby which we took down to the center of the city to check out the Casa Rosada and Florida Ave. The hotel staff were very friendly. I would call them to make dinner reservations and they even bought Boca Jr. soccer tickets for me. We stayed in a small and medium room, and for a couple, the small room is fine. I am 6ft and I didn't have any problems in the bathroom or shower in the small room, but maybe other small rooms are different. We will definitely stay there again and you can pay cash at the hotel and they will give you a discount.

We moved out after one night. SoHoAllSuites next door was much better. The rooms at Five Cool Rooms are so small that we couldn't put our suitcases down, the accomodations spartan and suprisingly poorly maintained given the hotel's relative youth and the staff surly (the first time we experienced anything but the best service in our stays throughout Argentina dn Uruguay).

The location is great, but we were so happy we moved next door!

I stayed there for 4 nights in a small room, the room face the street, and the street is sure not quiet!
Not a place to rest if you are older than 20.
The place is just a little more than a hostel, and less than a 1 star hotel, considering Argentinian standards. The staff is nice, but not very well informed.
A $100 for a hostel service/quality is too much!
