This is the most beautiful renovation of a palatial home imaginable and so subtly done that, at the moment, there is no identifying sign out front.

Its problem is that the impeccably dressed staff - and there are dozens of them wandering about - has absolutely no clue about what they are supposed to do.

They smile graciously and then then hide or cluster by themselves determined not to look at the patrons because no one has trained them.

For example, it can take over an hour in the bar to get someone to take your order even though four staff will be in the corner at the cash register looking away from the room. You order a scotch and the bottle is presented some time later for inspection. Please. Then a long wait for the drink. And never for the check.

There is no training and no supervision of anyone, anyone. It is a very strange feeling being there, and beautiful as the hotel may be, you will be frustrated beyond the capability your patience.

This hotel is just stunning. Modern style mixed with the ultimate in luxury. The bathrooms are out of this world and enormous. The service is fantastic, great business center, excellent restaurants and bars. The architecture and design of the hotel are simply stunning--this is one of the most unique prosperities I've ever been to. Highly recommend a drink in the courtyard. Also the breakfast is fantastic. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

I spent three glorious nights at the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires. The rooms are pristine and the service is phenominal. The property has all the modern comforts and then some. The curtains close at the touch of a button. At night you can turn on soft lights to get to the bathroom without waking your companion or fully waking yourself. All rooms have flatscreen TVs and whether you are on the Palace side or the other side does not really matter as the service and comfort is extraordinary on both sides. I couldn't be happier with this property. The best I have experienced.

Our stay at the Park Hyatt was absolutely fantastic. Our family (three teenage kids) has traveled a lot and I can state with assurance that we have never experienced such a high level of service and professionalism. The location, facilities, food and the high level and competence and service were very impressive.

All the staff was wonderful and so helpful we truly felt privileged. Of particular note was the Food and Beverage Service and the Concierge Service. The Concierge Service preformed as a virtual Travel Agent for us helping us formulate and book our wonderful side trips to the Iguazu Falls and Colonia, Ecuador. Not only was this a great convenience for us but it also significantly added to our travel experience.

We have recommended the BA Park Hyatt to many of our friends. We hope to make another trip down to see more of Argentina. We will be sure to stay with the Park Hyatt again.

My wife and I stayed here after researching many other hotels in BsAs and we were completely happy and pleased by the Hyatt. It is in no way like a chain hotel, part of the hotel is an old mansion and the other, via an underground corridor, is a new building.

The staff was amazing, learning our names in seconds and we were greeted by each staff by name (how they did this I have no idea). Check-in was easy and they quickly grabbed our luggage and suggested several places to go while we waited for our room to be ready (we were allowed a check-in at 11am). I would suggest to anybody staying there to head directly to the spa where you can shower and relax after the overnight flight to BsAs. It is a completely relaxing atmosphere and you have a locker, shower, amenities, and a nice pool. The sauna had a very strong eucalyptus smell that was almost noxious when the steam got heavy, but that was the only negative.

Our room was in the new building and the entire place feels calm and comfortable. You can see pictures of our room, which was street side, but quiet. Curtains close electronically and darken the room very well. The space in the room was excellent and offered room to move, relax, and work without bumping into each other. The cleaning staff is great and we never had a wet towel for more than 15 minutes. Our DVD player wasn't working one evening and the techs came within 5 minutes and fixed it. you also get little treats, fruit, water, chocolate, dropped off at various times of the day. The bed? It puts the Starwood Sweet Sleeper to shame. The lights were funky and we often found ourselves having to hit several buttons and watch the lights come on and off in various parts of the room before we figured out the configuration.

The bathroom was amazing, with a nice walk-in closet, shower, big bathtub, sink area, and toilet area with a door so one could use the bathroom without being bothered is someone is using the toilet. I never thought I would get excited about a bathroom, but this one was an actual "room".

There were two slightly annoying things about the Hyatt, after all, nothing is perfect. One, they do charge for internet, and it 's not the cost that bugs me, it's the principle. Two, there are far too may staff just lurking about, some were not quite trained yet and we would ask simple questions, like where an ATM machine was, and we would be passed from Julia to Jose to Alvaro before we got an answer.

Compared to other hotels where I've stayed, in the US as well as other countries, this ranks at the top. Of course, you pay for it.
