I booked a two-night stay at the Park Hyatt from the hotel's website and was there for New Years Eve.

Check in was very quick. After realizing that I had an Executive Suite, the person at the counter called for a "Butler" who escorted me to my room and showed me around. It was massive with excellent views.

The rooms were modern, clean and well appointed. In addition to the local outlets, the room had a number of Euro and US outlets, which was much appreciated. While there is no wireless internet, high speed wired connections are available. Both the bedroom and living room had flat screen HDTVs. There were multiple cordless phones which worked anywhere around the hotel property. The living room was huge as was the bedroom. They also had electronic controls for lights/fixtures like a Peninsula. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a shower and large jacuzzi-style bathtub.

The hotel offers free shoe-shines and 2 free pressings (at least for rooms on the executive floor). The Butler and Concierge services were top notch. They were able to arrange bike rentals on New Year's Day and an airport pickup for me at a future stop on my trip.

As it was NYE, the hotel provided a number of free gifts/surprises throughout the day -- sugar grapes, local dulce de luche, wine, etc. I believe that these were provided to all guests.

The hotel had a large, full-size lap pool. However, and this is probably my largest complaint, it was indoors in the basement (spa) area. I was disappointed that it wasn't outdoors or on the roof.

I did not have any meals at the hotel.

This is an amazing hotel and is priced like one. I would definitely recommend a stay there.

Our stay started badly because the hotel had messed up our reservation. I had booked a Park Suite for three nights but they had reserved a Park Deluxe which is a smaller room and because the hotel was full they had no other room for us. The management then went out of their way to make it up to us finally moving us into the Park Suite
for the third night at the lower rate but in the meantime insisting we have a drink on them, have breakfast on them and also experience their cheese cave on them. It would never have occurred to us to go otherwise and we would have missed a highlight. Their cheese room is filled with every cheesy delight produced in Argentina and then matched by exceptional wines by the glass - unforgettable. I loved this hotel so much it was hard to get me out of it. The garden is such
a special oasis of calm in this busy city and it is such a delight to sit there for tea, drinks, breakfast, lunch or dinner all of which tried out. The rooms are beautifully designed and the bed linen and towels are all of the highest quality. Very expensive but we will be back.

  • Liked — The garden, view and location

This place is incredible. Some of the rooms are in an old, converted palace, and the others are in a high rise (6 stories) built on the other side of the lot. In between the two buildings is a gorgeous garden, an urban oasis that you will never forget...we soaked in the sun at breakfast on the patio, enjoyed sipping tea in the afternoon and relished caiprinhas and champage in the evenings.

The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Other guests ranged from couples to families, many from the US and some from Europe.

Our room (in the converted building) was clean and stylish and a good size.

The spa/gym area is lovely (and mostly filled with Americans), and there's a nice swimming pool.

This place is amazing - I can't wait to go back.

Great location in a lovely seting. Stayed in a Park Suite in the new, modern tower - large room, great soaking tub and flat screen TV. Try the cheese cave - room service will send whatever types of cheese you like with wine by either the glass or bottle. Breakfast buffet was wonderful; cooked to order eggs was included as well.

My only criticism is that the pool is located in a windy area that requires a long walk from anywhere in the hotel. The GM - Christophe Lorvo - formerly of the Hyatt Madelaine in Paris is responsive to any questions, comments, or requests.

this hotel has a peculiar lay-out, one older stately house and one newer, much bigger modern building in the back of the old houses' garden. both connected through garden walkways or underground. due to the difference in elevation one has to walk many steps.

rooms are generic upscale "international hotel architecture". you could as well be in tokyo, capetown or oslo...

i had a so called suite, which was one huge single room with a large closet/bathroom area overlooking the garden.

a door and wall section between bedroom and bathroom was made of sleek glass panes, and although there were some stripes on it to make them more visible, i was afraid, that i may hit the glass when getting up at night. so i left the light in the bathroom on at night.

the light switches are not intuitive and on the bedstand is even a printed instruction for it, which still did not make full sense. an employee confirmed, that she was also unable to get the proper light settings herself.

not an intelligently designed room.

none of my taxi drivers knew about the hotel, but nearby is a wellknown shopping mall, so i always asked to be brought to "patio bullrich" and walked the rest.

overall decent service. the concierge asked me to check back with him later that day, when it would have been appropriate for a better hotel, that he gets in touch with me, or leaves me a message...
