I had the good fortune to stay at Teresita’s Bed and Breakfast for one month, while in Buenos Aires attending ESL training. Although I “commuted” one hour each way into the city and back every weekday, it was well worth it. The garden setting is even more beautiful than it appears in the pictures, with birds, butterflies, and the lovely smell of the flowers. It is such a peaceful place! Every morning, I received a warm greeting and a lovely breakfast of fresh orange juice and coffee, with yogurt, bread, marmalade, and of course, dulce de leche! It was great to be able to leave the city at the end of the day and return to more quiet Adrogue to unwind. This is a pleasant little town with shops and cafés. I loved my little guesthouse. It was clean and very comfortable, with a washroom (shower), TV (lots of channels!), small refrigerator, and washing machine. If privacy is what you are looking for, your wishes are respected. On the other hand, if you want a more “homestay” type experience, you can get to know Teresita, her husband Raul, and their lovely family, including Tiny, their friendly dog. They are kind people with a wonderful sense of humour and will go out of their way to be inclusive, kind, and hospitable to you. I felt like part of this warm family and shared several amazing meals with them, like traditional Argentine barbeque, French onion soup, pasta with two sauces, and pizza-all made “from scratch”. Teresita is an amazing cook and her crème brulee is the best I have ever tasted! This B and B is also a good setting to start learning or to brush up on your Spanish conversation skills, and your efforts to learn will be welcomed and encouraged. Teresita and the entire family go out of their way to help with trip planning and directions. She and her daughter even helped me arrange a "hair makeover" in a local salon, and there, I received amazing service and a new "look" with which I was very pleased. I plan to visit again and again, and I would not consider staying anywhere else in Buenos Aires! I recommend this B and B with pleasure! With thanks and love to Teresa, Raul, Daniela, Andres, the girls and the rest of the family for making my stay so wonderful and unforgettable.

  • Liked — Atmosphere, hospitality, food, everything within walking distance, the garden setting.
  • Disliked — Lack of internet access in the guesthouse. I don't think that someone with a short amount of time in Buenos Aires would like the long commute into the Capital.
  • Tips/Secrets: — The dog looks big, but is a real gentle "pussycat"!

Buenos Aires City was incredible but when we found ourselves seeking escape from the heat and pollution we happened upon this B&B on the net. At first we thought it was too far out of the way but on second review we decided this is just what we needed. Theresa made it so easy by sending Buddha (her neighbour) to come collect us and take us to her place for around $15 us. Buddha greatly deserves his name. He smiled from the chest outward and made us feel confident in our choice long before we arrived. Theresa was there to greet us at the gate and show us through to our gorgeous little guest house surrounded by gardens, birds, a pool, bbq pit and herb garden. We couldn't have been happier. She made all our dinner reservations, (when we weren't bbqing) insuring someone could speak a little english to help us out. Our first dinner was at Salustiana. We still dream of it to this day. We should mention we were practically the only touristas in that small suburb and got to be known by many locals as Los Canadienses. Theresa also found us Tango lesson a short distance away which we thought we had left behind in BA.

Every morning we breakfasted on fresh fruit, homemade jam, tea, and toast to the sound of birds chirping. Every afternoon we skinny dipped by the pool or read under the shade of our flower lined porch. In the evening we tango danced, dined and walked the quaint streets meeting friendly people on every corner.

What else can we say? In short we felt like family and had a lot of privacy all at the same time. We can't wait to return.

Teresita was the perfect place to begin our trip to Argentina. We were met at the airport and driven to the peaceful serenity of our little guesthouse. After a long flight it was so nice to arrive someplace quiet, rather than dive right into the caos of a big city. We spent six nights at Teresita and loved every moment. We enjoyed the small town. The people were very friendly and it was a great introduction to Argentina. It was easy to get into the city when we wanted a change of pace, but always nice to return to Teresita. Teresa and her husband are wonderful people and were very helpful in assisting us in planning the rest of our trip.
We highly recommend Teresita Bed and Breakfast to everyone visiting Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires is such a big bustling place but staying at Teresita´s you wouldn´t guess it.
I had a wonderful stay thanks to the warm welcome and generous hospitality of the hostess, Teresita! I was fortunate to be able to experience the guesthouse and a room within the family home. Both were well equipped to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The homemade yoghurt at breakfast was also an unexpected treat! The only thing I would let people know is that it´s a little far from the city centre. There is transport close at hand but sometimes the trains can get very busy and this makes a longer journey. Anyone choosing to stay at this b and b will be well looked after and made to feel at home. The place is situated on a quiet, tree lined suburban street and is very peaceful.
As already mentioned by past reviewers there are shops close by, try the cake shop for some delectable morsels, and the candied peanuts sold by street vendors are also very morish! I would recommend Teresita´s to couples or solo travellers.

The friendly welcome started when we were met at the Airport and driven to Terisita, a lovely, secluded self-contained unit in the garden of the main house. This was our first trip to Argentina and the helpful advice of our hostess, enabled us to discover the main attractions in Buenos Aires in our 4 day stay. We arrived in torrential rain but this soon cleared up to give pleasant sunny weather to enhance our stay and enable us to enjoy breakfast on the terrace each morning.
We would recommend Terista for anyone wanting to enjoy Buenos Airies without staying in the hustle and bustle of the centre. Good, cheap transport is available to take you into the centre and Terisita is situated close to shops, restaurants and other amenities. This is a particularly good place to stay if you are not fluent in Spanish as Terisita speaks good English and will advise you about how gain the maximum enjoyment from your stay.
