I originally wanted to book the Garden Suite after seeing it featured in a magazine, however it was not available. Luckily the recently opened Poolside Suite was available. Although pictures of this room were not on their website, they sent a description of it, which included its own private terrace with open log fire, original 1926 wallpaper, and an original George Nelson desk. Being a big design buff, I salivated and took the room. And let me tell you it exceeded my expectations. The suite is a large open plan space with the hugest floor to ceiling windows that lead on to a terrace that overlooks the beautiful garden and swimming pool that gets sun all day long. The enormous blinds and blackouts are remote controlled. Had a lot of fun opening this from the comfort of my own huge bed to let the morning light in. Every design feature is just so spot on and oozing personality. I booked a massage at the Spa upon arrival to shake off the flight stiffness, it was so good that I treated myself to 3 more during my stay. The breakfast is the most original I had in any hotel, with shots of fruit & herbs for juices, homemade marmalades & jams, and this incredible yogurt foam. Indeed, the food served at the hotel is simple and fresh, and possibly the best I had during my visit.
The attention to detail and service at this hotel are superb, the staff were super friendly, well informed and provided me with great recommendations. The little Home guide booklet is just genius, and very original as I had never encountered such in a hotel before. It contains info on restaurants, bars, what to do and what to see in a fun and sincere way, with many off the tourist radar ideas.
Home is truly a hotel with style AND content.

My friends and I cannot be more pleased with our choice of Home Hotel (thanks to tripadvisor.com) for our 5-night stay in Buenos Aires. The hotel has a very fresh look and feel and the rooms are adequately capacious, comfortable, stylish and very clean. But what sets this place apart is the staff -- they truly give testament to this hotel's name. Everyone was so genuinely friendly and helpful -- many went out of their way to accommodate our every whim. By the end of our stay, I felt that I had made new friends in BA.

my wife and i booked 4 nights here, right after she had been on business in recoleeta, staying at the palacio duhau - park hyatt. therein lies the rub. we got there and being design buffs ourselves, the room would have been great, had we not just arrived from the park hyatt for 4 nights.

our first room was a standard room and was right off the walkway on the second floor, albeit quite quiet. my wife was immediately sad that we left the park hyatt.

the front desk staff couldn't have been nicer though. we told them we were going to leave, knowing that we were already charged and would have lost out on 3 nights. they told us they would try and rebook the hotel, but i don't think they were able to.

we left for the park hyatt and it was just a very sad scene. the guy at the desk kept asking us whether there were any problems. well, no problem really, just that we came from a phat pad at the park hyatt and wanted to go back there!

previous writers were correct, this is in hollywood and it is past the train tracks. there were a few places of note less than two blocks away - olsen and hermanos estebecorena. but true, it is a few blocks walk from the main part of palermo soho. not a great trek if you've just gone on a shopping spree, but cabs are plentiful.

when i went to BA over 5 yrs ago, we didn't even walk within 2 blocks of the train tracks because it was a bit sketchy, so it's great to see that gentrification has spread this far.

Just got back from spending 6 nights at Home hotel and I can't say enough good things about it. The staff was excellent and didn't seem at all bothered with my 1000 questions every day from the most mundane ("is it going to be cool again?") to ("where should i go for dinner/ lunch/ wine shop?"). They always had an answer or suggestion for me. The hotel itself was charming and comfortable and it was nice to be somewhere where the staff/concierge knew who your were from day 1. Also liked the free internet. The rooms were modern and clean with the most comfortable bed and pillows ever! (I had a hard time getting up to go back out to dinner at 10pm b/c I was so comfy AND my bed in my apartment now feels so uncomfortable). The breakfasts were filling and delicious..i loved the different mixed juices each morning (who would think of mixing oj w/ green tea?).
Although Home is in Palermo Hollywood and it is not as built up as Palermo Soho.. you can totally feel the energy and see the build up of the area so you know in a few months.. there is going to be more and more around there from boutiques to restaurants to lounges/ clubs. There are about 4 good restaurants within 1 1/2 blocks if you don't want to travel far (and I really liked Grappa) but like it has been said.. taxi's are so cheap.. who cares if you have to get one to go to Soho... plus, the concierge will be more than happy to get one for you in an instant. The bartenders at HOME are excellent and can mix up an amazing drink just by you telling them what you like and don't like. Next time I go to BA I will go sometime from Oct- March so I can take advantage of the Friday night dj/ happy hour by the pool. (plus it would be a little warmer than April). Would absolutely recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We stayed there for a few days and then went to Iguazu, during which time they kept some of our luggage and then we came back for a few days before we left BA. Our suite was super, the spa is superb, we had an excellent massage when we arrived really gave us a chilled start to our holiday. The receptionists were excellent, sorting reservations and an excellent Tango lesson. The food is lovely, eating in the garden you feel a million miles from the hustle and the bustle of city life and the cocktails are to die for. The area is great for shopping and eating- we had to buy an extra suitcase so enjoy.

  • Disliked — access to the hotel computer, it was on a shelving unit and I kept banging my head on th shelf above it.
