Very helpful staff, clean interesting rooms, above average breakfast for Argentina and a great location in San Telmo. The staff genuinely wants to share their city with and will help you do it the way no hotel ever would.

Since opening the place 4 years ago, we have come to stay every year for minimum 2 weeks in Casa Vaiven and we always enjoyed our stay in the appartment. There is a familiar atmosphere with very kind people.
All services mentioned in Casa Vaiven's homepage have been properly realized and all photos are identical. Since 2 years an air conditioning system was installed in the appartment - for those who need closed windows because of the noise of a great city like Buenos AIres.
We have found a clean place on high level. Very good and multi-lingual support for tourists. Casa Vaiven is seated in San Telmo which in fact, is an ideal base for sightseeing tours within Buenos Aires.

We spent 5 nights at Casa Vaiven and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. And the staff were very helpful, with great local knowledge. Daniel, Martin and Melissa all went out of their way to make our visit to Buenos Aires fun, interesting and delicious (Daniel gave us some great restaurant tips). San Telmo is a great part of town to stay in.

Our first four nights in Argentina were spent at Casa Vaiven. That was a great start to our trip. A superb desayuno was served every morning with an excellent camaraderie with other travelers around the table. Each staff person working there was very kind and exceedingly helpful with directions, making reservations etc. The location is also a positive factor being close to a subte station and to the main street (Defensa) in the San Telmo district with its wonderful Sunday market. Thankyou Casa Vaiven.

Hola! I'm Maria from Spain. I was at Casa Vaiven last week and I want to tell you I RECOMMEND IT! The neigbourhood is very "familiar", in the corner are the offices of the main important newspaper of all Argentina "Clarin"!!
It is not a touristic area with a lot o people or hoteles. It's very nice and quiet, specially during the night, when everybody wants to rest.
The staff is wondurfull, Daniel, Martin and Melisa were very friendly and helpful.

You really have to visit it on your travel to Argentina.

Casa Vaiven, next to everything, away from everithing.
