We stayed at a VIP suite at the Esplendor for 4 nights in March 2006. It is a beautiful boutique hotel, centrally located with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was simply amazing. It had 20 feet high ceilings, huge windows, 4 balconies, great finishes and beautiful furniture. It also had a jacuzzi in the bedroom. A great value considering that such room costs the same as a regular room in any other hotel of the same category. I must say that it is a bit noisy due to its central location, but if you have no problem sleeping I strongly recommend it.

My boyfriend and i stayed at the Esplendor in late February. Its a beautiful boutique hotel with a beautiful staff and beautiful rooms. Unfortunately, its a classic case of form over function. Our room was one story up from the street and crazy loud. We live in the city and thought we wouldnt be bothered by the noise, but every hour the buses and the garbage trucks and the taxis would wake us up. Also, the air conditioning was broken and in the 3 days we stayed there the staff couldnt fix it or move us to another room. and the shower leaked. but other than that, it was very cool and i got to pretend i was evita on the balcony.

3 night stay late December 05 at Esplendor , it was a last minute choice as we wanted somewhere with a boutique feel and lots of other places were full. It was a good choice. Very central ( next door to the Galleria Pacifico ) , fantastic beds, very pleasant rooms , some design faults (e.g. stretching the hairdryer to look into a mirror )some minor niggles ( it would be so good to have access to an iron when you arrive at least and to have coffee facilities )
Staff were very helpful , very pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work there .
Down side - if you are on the lower floors the traffic noise can be a bit intense, but that's BA for you , if the taxis didn't sound their horns they wouldn't move .
Overall good value for money and, yes, we would go there again

Although noisy, this hotel had a great breakfast, a helpful staff and some very large rooms. You could possibly have a party in their rooms and for the money it was worth the cold we sometimes endured and the noise that was constant. It is in the heart of downtown.
It is very modern and appears to have been an old office space. Hopefully with the completion of the resturant it will be a better spot to stay in wonderful Buenos Aires.
