This is a gem of a small hotel in a busy residential area of Buenos Aires. The owners Valeria and Jorge, and their staff, were very welcoming and helpful on our first trip to Argentina. The house is full of beautiful art, rooms are small but spotless, and excellent breakfast is served through noon (and possibly later). The area is full of shops and restaurants, but the street is quiet at night.

Valeria, the owner, speaks fluent English; and everybody at the B&B was happy to share recommendations (and make reservations!) for their favorite places in B.A. - restaurants, coffee shops, parks, milongas (tango clubs), art events, etc. Valeria and Jorge also recommended and booked a great B&B for us in Mendoza, AR.

We loved staying at Tango B&B. For just about five pesos more than we had paid at a hostel (for private room), we had REAL BEDS, unlimited heating, and breakfast at any time of the morning (or even the early afternoon). The maid is also very meticulous and so honest that she put change she found under the bed out on the table for us. The owners are truly nice people who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Belgrano is not as trendy as Palermo or San Telmo, but it is safe and has a lot of restaurants and shops. We actually stayed in both Palermo and San Telmo first and liked Belgrano the best. It felt more like living in Buenos Aires than being a tourist, since there are no tourists in this area. I cannot recommend this place enough! There is even an apartment for people who want more privacy.
