We just stayed at the Solar Soler B&B. Overall, it's worth it for the money, but I would stay in another location for my next trip. Solar is located in Palermo Hollywood, which is a bit run down now and is getting built up. Every morning, we were awakened by construction noises from next door, and on the block there are several auto body shops and car washes (along with a nice, expesive restaurant "Osaka", which looks out of place). A better location would be Palermo Viejo, in the area of Malabia House, which is about a 20 minute walk from Hollywood and is next to the restaurants and shopping.
In terms of accomodations, the B&B is very cozy (meaning small), and the linens and towels are very old and much used. The rooms are very, very small, and the bathrooms are tiny. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful (some more than others), and the breakfast was OK. Before your trip, make sure to confirm your reservation (we ended up in a different room than promised, which wasn't a big deal, but it could matter to some.) We were actually in 2 different rooms, because they didn't have 1 available for the entire stay, and the rate was about $60 US with taxes per night. Definitely a great price, but I would have paid more for a better location, newer amenities, and a bigger room.
Hope this review helps!
