The week in Buenos Aires at the Mansion Dandi was a week to remember, a 25th anniversary gift to ourselves, to simply learn Argentine tango. We found numerous mentions of the mansion on the internet and reading so many positive reviews from the US, UK and Europe, we knew it had to be the place. And it was! From the moment we climbed the marble stairway into this century old mansion, we felt transported to another period in time. Reception, food service and security were top-notch. The house tango lessons every night were led by two young, knowledgeable, and energetic teachers, Nahuel and Noelia Barsi. Thereafter we were taken every night by minibus to a different tango night club to practice. To fill the week, there was the city tour, a Broadway-style tango extravaganza and shopping. At the current exchange rate, things were one-third American prices. So now Buenos Aires was the place to visit (not Europe) and Mansion Dandi was the place to stay. Oh, yes, our tango is coming along!
